KK was a steak knives deal, long shot who was injury prone. As he cannot stay on the park we will probably never see his real talent. Still injury prone and I doubt will be on the list in 2021. Sad but some people just don't have the bodies to cut it in the game of Aussie rules.

Very important maintaining Sanity Sue. After all it is only a game isn't it?
-
After 50 years of practise sue you would think they would be experts.
-
Surely not!

I agree with almost everything you say in the above However it is a fan site and as such you will get a number of different views on every subject. Just roll with the blows that is the way life is. AS for the MFC reading Demonland I seriously doubt that anyone reads the site and the few that may would instantly discard anything they don't agree with. I firmly believe that what is written here has no effect on how the MFC perform on match day.

Agree rjay

I have only one trouble with the above Ernest, My time is running out fast, I have no time for the Chinese way of viewing things. I actually don't believe we will win a flag in the years I have left. Now I just want a powerful team that regularly plays finals well into the finals period every year. Thank God I wont be around to see your future game predictions.

If we are 0-5 jnr then Goodwin's time at the MFC will be close to over. In fact I would say it is play finals in 2020 or the highway back to Adelaide for him.

You are on that big of a bender?
-
Me too LH. Current system is home for some time. Interesting that Pert said he has discussed Goschs etc with FD. Asked them is the current facilities there affecting our on field performance. The answer was NO.
-
His words were " in a precinct close the G" IMO that does sound like KB oval to me.

Got what I expect from tonight, not a lot we did not already know. Perhaps I am just wanting to hear how much 2019 hurt the group and how committed they are to be better in 2020. But I think they are doing the right things to do better next season. Goodwin admitted they underestimated the effect 666 would have in 2019. Never thought I would hear that. From a couple of speakers I got the impression that there was an element amongst the playing and coaching groups that all they had to do this year was tweak things a bit and we would finish top 4.

Pert left no one in doubt that the MFC is locked into a training and head quarters close to the G. He said that there are up to 8 government bodies to deal with for some of the possible locations. Said they would not be providing a running commentary on progress. My gut feel is not a lot is going to happen for some time. God knows where you find an G size piece of ground with room for training and office facilities close to the G.
-
A question was asked of Pert did he think training their would cost us a flag? His Answer the Pies won while training there.
-
Interesting that IMO Pert and J M come over as well as speakers. They sound like they know what they are talking about. Our coach hmm not so much. But perhaps I am just biased.
-
No Steve besides the poor results year they said both the Tigers Anzac Eve and QB games were away games in 2019 which had a big influence on financials. Also said that loss was covered from money in the bank so our debt has not increased.
-
Club made a loss in 2019.
-
Don't hold your breath MR. 2021/2022 maybe. No one goes from 17 to 1st in one season let alone the MFC. Return to finals in 2020 is the max. You can expect.
-
It still beggars belief the light off hand way they seemingly treated that loss. Also heard Goodloss say at the start of 2019 on SEN that they would not change much in the game plan because of the 666 rule change.
-
They don't have money for the country championships but do for this crap! Makes sense Ireland is a way better jaunt than Albury for Gill and the boys.
-
Now he could play!
-
Action not words MR?
-
That is a quantum leap dc!

I am going but I am not the greatest of reporters, if there is no one else going I will give it a go for whatever my reporting ability is worth.

I have a couple of questions as to the timing of MFC events. For the best part of the last decade the AGM has been around the end of November / early December but this year it is in February. This forum has it would appear taken its place on the calendar of MFC events. Why is the AGM off till Feb? For as long as I can remember we have not had a forum, why are we getting one this year. Are both connected to an announcement of a new home? Is there something happening that necessitates the AGM being held over for three months? Should be an interesting night tomorrow.
