I think there is a better chance of a virus vaccine than us winning a flag in 2020. We currently cannot beat time with a stick. Better than average chance now the GF will be played in WA in October and by then numerous players will have pulled out. This year is a just a money saver.

The treatment of Weideman astounds me this year just leaves you gob smacked. Since he was re signed last year he hardly played last year as he was injured and this Year without playing a proper reserves game he cannot even get to be an emergency in a team that cannot score. Amazing

It gets easier by the day to see this whole season coming apart at the seams.

The difference is when you join the army you know the conditions, these are far from normal conditions for AFL players. Not a lot of sympathy for your fellow humans.

Tonight I saw the Richmond captain on tv saying that a number of their players had young children and some were expecting children soon. He said some of them were questioning wether they would go. Consider Viney from the MFC, his first child was born a few day ago and he has to leave for what could be 4-8 weeks. If I where him I would be seriously considering “ see ya next year guys”. With that in mind I have decided this years competition is seriously damaged. I will be attaching little significance to the results.

But he is not having the impact of previous years. And his ruck work is so predictable everyone knows what he is going to do.

Do you get the feeling the FD is wishing and hoping?

That’s possible LDC but surely when you are crying out for forwards why persist with him in defence. What about the others?

Stop trying to turn players into something that are not. Smith is a forward play him as one Harmes is a good middle fielder not a HB. TMac is a high half forward or CHB not a deep FF. Bailey is not a KPF. Play him where he plays best as a HF. Hannah is a VFL talent that’s why he was not on the Dogs list reserves for him no consistency. Play Weideman as a key forward for the next month if does not fire we will know he is a bust. He ain’t a Ruckman.

Of course it won’t but the discussion show what we lost when he left. No replacement of the 50 goals he kicked in 3/4 of a season in 2018. You know those things that win games.
