I have no idea why MFC members want to deny the findings of the Morgan research. It rings very true to me. here is my simple test. How many MFC supporters do you know that are not current MCC or MFC members? I know 1 person. However I know dozens of Collingwood, Essendon and Carlton supporters who are not members and have not been for decades. The MFC probably has a very high ratio of member to supporter ratio but we simply do not have a high number of supporters. We have had 46 years of sustained mediocre how could we possibly have a large supporter base?

To end the year on a high we must pick Clutterbuck! I see only good thinks from that name on our list. who cares if he can play we need that name.

I wonder, is it a fact or just hoping we have one by then?

I was only making the observation that I don't care if they are idoits or not can they just buy a membership! I am not sure there are as many as you think. I reckon low 40's is about the top end at present. Five years of being in the top 4 might improve matters but that is a ways off.

5 of our six specialist batsman were poor. 3 of them have been for 2 years. It is time for 3 batsman changes going into the boxing day test. Out: Hughes, Khawaja, Ponting and Hussey is close to his last game. We are finding it hard to beat NZ imagine the slaughter that is India coming up

I doubt it will matter, I have a feeling what you see is what we are going to get with him. Fairly thin guy who will need to play a lot better. Not sure the tuition over the last few years has done him any favours. A change there might help.

The problem will not be our CEO but the AFL. Nothing will stand in the way of the Giants being successful. We have to kowtow ( no pun intended ) to the AFL. When they say jump our only question is how high. It will probably be this way for a considerable time into the future. just look at the what happened with the loss of you know who. Hardly a peep out of the MFC we need the money and compensation too much to rock the boat. It is a sad fact of life unfortunately.

Me too, IMO looks to me like he will always be fairly skinner. Don't waste your time expecting him to put on 15 Kg. He is a goer they way he is built or not at all.

You know DC I doubt the average Aussie has any idea how much all these things mean to the Chinese. My experierence suggests to me that it will be very hard for the MFC to pick up a major Chinese sponser. Contrary to what a lot of people want to suggest the "demons" part of the MFC is a major problem. We can laugh all we like but it will hold us back in the Chinese market. Now I am not suggesting there is the slightest chance of us changing our emblem but it will hold us back in China. It is very hard for us barbarians to understand the Chinese, if CS can pull off a serious Chinese sponser he is a very clever man. I hope he is up to the task. Because we sure need the cash

I often wonder how big of a problem the travel really is. WC have been flying back and forth now for years. When they have had good sides they win flags, when the have had poor sides they have not won flags. Rugby guys fly constantly between NZ and SA Soccer players play in the UK one weekend, play in Europe mid week and again in England the next weekend. I never hear of the problem from those competitions. Are we just [censored]?
