Of RR's list of seven IMO One is a good player, two average and the rest past it or never quite had it. Whatever way I look at it is a sorry situation.
-
I know RR it is just an arguement over small points. I could see Davey playing a lot of games at Casey this year
-
Good luck Ned. Try Tattslotto the odds are better
-
I find nothing here to disagree with RR You have nailed it
-
Unfortunately Jb we can forget him for probably 2 months, so end of May. That makes his contribution for 2012 look poor. Last year at the Dees????

Why don't we all get off the kids back. He did not bestow no.1 status on himself, the MFC did. I seriously doubt he will live up to the No.1 status but he shows signs of being a good player for the MFC. Can we just let him get on with it and see how he turns out please.

RR I think you are correct in your assesment. However he could have a player banished to the Casey Seconds for the year. While that would not be techincally sacking him the effect would be the same.

wyl, Target is a much bigger business than David Jones. I would prefer Target

PSD I guess it depends on your idea of what constitutes a senior player. IMO it is 25+ years old, from your list we have quite a wait till your list reaches 25 let alone exceeds that age. Frawley 23 not 25 till after the end of the 2013 season Grimes 23 " 25 till mid 2014 Trengove 21 " 25 " late 2016 Jones 24 " 25 till early 2013 Howe 22 " 25 till mid 2015 Clark 24 " 25 till the end of 2012 Bartram 24 not 25 till early 2013 As you can see none of these players will turn 25 for some time. Only Clark will be this year and it is effectively after the season. That is what I see as the problem we will have very few good senior players for another 3 seasons unless we import some. IMO there lies the problem.

Don't think he talks to me anymore wyl I keep disagreeing with his terrible choice of the colour RED So the answer is yes!

I think we are almost in total agreement SD see ya at the G on 31st March

You are right it is tiresome even to me The most depressing part is that for 50 years I was as postive as the most positive on here. 2011 changed all that. It forced me to leave the emotion aside and look at our playing group in the same way our competitors do. Add in the performances of the last month and I arrive at today. Depressed with little to look forward to in 2012. HOWEVER as a result of your comment I will try very hard for the next few weeks to be positive. Go Dees

Does the projected $40 mill include a membership of 37000 and the missing sponsor?
-
Well perhaps I misjudged your intention Dee-luded. I was just trying to point out it is now ancient history. I get annoyed when we want to live in the 1950's let alone 20 years ago. Lets just get on with 2012 and beyond

Hassa Mann talks about his Blazer...
old dee replied to Sir Why You Little's topic in Melbourne Demons
I hope JT turns into HM mk.2 mate. I just struggle with how a blazer will do it. Especially one I dislike I am glad they both like it as they are the ones that have to. -
Where do you hear they are still going?
-
Unfortunately wyl you are 3 years closer to the big 50. Yes it really is 2012

Hassa Mann talks about his Blazer...
old dee replied to Sir Why You Little's topic in Melbourne Demons
WYL I have been around log enough to have seen guys like HM play. They played in a golden era for the MFC like Brisbane and Geelong of recent times. I can understand how Hassa Mann feels, I know a couple of his contemporaries personally. They are very proud of the club and people they played with. I saw them, their pride is not misplaced. I am happy they have been presented with Blazers, I am happy that they have been honoured in this way. They richly deserve it However it is now half a century ago. I struggle with how wallowing in events of 50+ years ago helps the players of today or the supporters who want success in 2012 and beyond. I struggle with how this gets us new members We have to remember that our glory days are 50 years ago. It is well and truely time to make some more glory days. PS I wish I could spell as well as HM played -
Got it in one Lordweaver.

Ok Sorry I totally missed your point.
-
I will let you know when I see something postive happen on the field SD

Dee-luded do you seriously expect me to compare the govenment of Myanmar with the MFC? Are you saving that Ian Ridley was a murdering dictator. Oh please
-
Go with the flow RobbieR you will miss bugger all in this year and 2013 And if a miracle happens you can always come back for a couple of weeks

HG I have seen very little to suggest the playing group has made any significant improvement since the nd of 2011. The two players who show some improvement are Clark and Magnar Both imports this year. We have played Brisbane Won by less than a goal and GCS beat us. Beat the Pies but they were playing a large number of their seconds. Belted by the Hawks, it was over at the 15 minute mark. Beaten easily by Port ( 2nd last in 2011 ) it was over again at the 15 minute mark. Can you please show me how that form is a big step in the right direction.

And Butcher will in the first round Mean while Sylvia will probably make it back around June
