I have been a Melbourne supporter and member since 1960.
No one and I mean No one has done more for the MFC than this man.
And on top of that he was a truely nice Human
The world has lost a great man.
Luv Ya Jim
IMO most of the names mentioned are not the answer.
Jetta -Constantly injured, last I saw he was listed as indefinate. Will struggle to stay on the list 2012 is his fourth year.
Bennell - Not up to AFL standard IMO has played 50 games and still struggles to get more than 5 touches a game
Jurrah- A bit tall for the part but who knows what his situation will turn out to be. May never play again for the Dees
Davey- probably the best chance but he is in his last couple of years. probably fill the hole in the short term
Oh well the old one from 2010 will be around my neck again in 2012.
For the life of me I do not understand why we have a totally different coloured scarf to Jumper
Yes he did JRT but that does not mean you cannot end up at another club.
I might add I don't think he will but in my eyes he is another Trapper.
Promises, promises
I have my fingers cossed
I will with hold final approval until I see them in the flesh and on TV at night.
Anyone know what the scarf colour is this year?
RR I find it hard to believe that Sylvia will have a good year he is going to be coming back from a serious back injury.
IMO he will miss at least 7 games that leaves 15 to impress, take off a couple to get touch back etc and the number drops to 12.
For a guy that plays about 1 in 3 good games we now have 4 good games for the year.
Numbers look ominious to me.
PSD I used to spent quite a bit of time in perth for my work going back a few years, enjoyed going to WAFL games.
I imagine watching those games would still be a lot of fun, who do you support?
I go to the amateurs a couple times a year over here, good fun as you are close to the action and they tend to play a more traditional type of football.
Interesting results from the pole so far.
39% think we will finish 12th or lower
51% think we will finish 11th or lower
and 68% ( over two thirds ) think we will finish 10th or lower
Not a lot of enthusiasm there or are we all being realistic?
Never Bl
but I am going on the fact that FD's always give optimistic figures when the give the time a player is out.
If the MFC say 6 weeks I asume it is more likely 8.
Seems to me that this injury is a bit worse than they are admitting.
The last thing they need to be saying at the MFC at present is that Sylvia is out for two months.
The injury list is getting longer, Pre season performance poor, no FOJ sponsor yet, Membership sales etc have stalled.
IMO minimise the bad news if possible.
So he is out for 4 - 6 weeks
