Funnily enough Redleg I have been saying this for at least the last year and I quite often get howled down (not by you I might add). If you look at Wellingham, if he is going to leave the pies why would you go to the MFC? WCE offers a side that will play finals and has GF potential versus joining the MFC who will lose more than they win for at least the next two years. Lynch is a player with a couple of years left. Pies offer a flag chance and at the MFC you would grind out your final couple of years with only a few wins to your credit. Caddy I do not rate so I don't care where he goes. It will be very interesting to see how the next three weeks pan out but I doubt we will make any big recruitments like Clark this year. But who knows I did not think we would get Clark last year. I think any seasoned players we may pick will not be the higher profile players, we may get a couple of players that are early 20's who are not getting a game at the there current club. We may just have to hope there is considerable improvement from current list in 2013. Seeing as how I think a large part of it is ordinary it looks like an ordinary 2013 to me. Once again the sad part is October to February will once again be the best part of our football year.

Add your earlier comment and I think you have nailed this one rpfc. Like 99% of the people on Demonland I have almost no idea how good Royal is as a coach. What I do have a reasonable idea about is that our player stocks are less than wonderful particularly the mid field. I doubt JC could have gotten a better result this year from our mid field. One would imagine that if his services were no longer required he would be gone by now. There is no trade value in assistant coaches. But as you say all will be relieved shortly

It is a complex store wyl. one element is that I look at Hawthorn and see everything that the MFC is not And should be. I admire 40 years in excellence of results. I dearly wish we Played like Hawthorn both on and off the field. They play to win and take no prisoners. I wish we were hated by the other fans like they are. Slip on Red and blue jumpers and there is my dream team. Maybe sad but that is the way I see them. Hope that explains a little. PS they are even coached by a Dee. How bloody sad is that?

Now I understand why you are MFC. Don't tell your Dad but I loath the Crows, bottom of the deck for me. I was dancing around the lounge last saturday night. Your Dad does have redeaming qualities as a Norwood supporter so I welcome him to the Dees. My Father was a MFC man when I was born, early years were great but I often wished he had supported Carlton, Essendon, North, Geelong or Hawthorn Life would have been so much better this last half century.
