  1. I see it more like our "cattle" have been skinned, gutted and hanged on hooks in the abattoir with their hearts cut out and consigned to the pet food bin. I'd like to see Neeld have a chance to coach but he has Buckley's chance with the current leadership at the club.
  2. I take some consolation that in the not too distant future most of the venon now exclusively resevered for me will be directed to some ex adminstators and perhaps ex board members too. And also that some of the 9 to 5 saturation "office posters" will then have little to say assuming they are still around.
  3. In a low intensity game against kids any game plan would look good. Against good oposition other factors come into play. Read organisation, team discipline and mixed with more elusive concepts like team elan. Even during the Bailey days his more offensive game style smashed the likes of GC and then distracted clubs like Adelaide with ease. To see how a defensive game is is being done well this year look at how the Swans, Fremantle and Adelaide have gone about it this year. We are still in the school yard cowboys and indians bang bang your dead stage trying to immitate Colingwood of several years ago.
  4. Another of our unwanted so called leaders of poor culture and mediocrity snapped up as development coaches by acknowledged masters of the game past and present. Good luck.
  5. At the time of the tanking I had mixed feelings about it. If it was good for the club I was prepared I accept it. But they had to get it 100% right or else there was a huge price to pay. Failure of this magnitude should only lead to swift removal of those responsible. They also hopelessly blundered the development of our next generation of junior players and caused open revolt amongst senior players. And other sins not yet revealed. They have no clue to how to build a successful club. CS had left in disgrace his previous CEO appoints and burned too many good people along the way. His tenure at 3 clubs shows a net return of only 2 finals appearances in 16 or so seasons. Given their track record I am a 100% convinced nothing will change next season if they remain and it could be a fatal disaster if this is allowed to happen.
  6. Hallelujeh to CS and CC. Bless their littlle red and blue cotton socks. No thanks.
  7. Sorry, but teams are moulded fron all sorts. No such thing as a rotten core of players. It all comes to leadership from above. Read the Northey era. No name players gelling themselves into a competative team around the time the great Robbie Flower was just a crippled shadow who used to be a champion in a lame duck team for over a decade.
  8. Only a dog would call our players rotten to the core to excuse the failings of incompetent administraters.
  9. Good post Deecisive. The story goes a little deeper than this. But basically what you say gives us a nill all draw which can be claimed as an away victory. Not happy for some (cs&cc)) but ultimately for the better good for our club and the game.
  10. Take your pick. Dead men or dead club?
  11. just a case of "dead men walking"
  12. Quite frankly I am infinitely far more disgusted to what certain individuals within the club have done in recent years.
  13. To quote CW at the end of her article, "If what some former players and coaches say is true then the tanking was only half of it". I have a vague suspicion to what she is talking about and have said similar here. She certainly has more information on the investigation which goes beyond tanking that is still not in the public domain. She has some ammo to back up the heavy attack on the club. The worst is yet come.
  14. Phew! I need another rum or two. Quite a slap from CW. Virulent response from Demonlander's. Most important question is; How are the 40 players that want to win for us going to respond?
  15. Aside from fire breathing, today would be a good day to resign like at about 4.59pm. Would be a good move considering it will be a quiet 4 days for the media due to the Melbourne Cup. No better way to deny the media oxygen.
  16. Only idiots could have put this club in the mess it is in and now they are invoking the idiots defence. Play the dumb dora routine.
  17. Then why keep jabbering on about the right of reply? They have every right to defend themselves now. It is obvious these individuals have received legal advice to say nothing because they will likely incriminate themselves and get trapped into telling lies like Tom Scully. If they really have nothing to hide they would have been on the front foot a long time ago.
  18. It appears Schwab, McLardy and co have made themselves unavailable to the media so far. They don't want to answer some very tough questions. They have the right of reply to the media allegations but they choose not to.
  19. It is extremely unlikey there will be retrospective losses of draft picks. If the club makes the required administrive restructure, any penalties may be relatively light assuming guilt is established.
  20. No prizes for seconds or thirds. Heard that offer a dozen times. No thanks. So much chest puffing and postulating going on around here. Why are not all you guys storming AFL house and getting page time in the Hun or the Age for the cause? Are you backsides welded to your ergonomic computer chairs? I was there today and not one irate Melbourne supporter to be seen anywhere. Then again the weather was crappy.
  21. Your attempts at passing the buck are futile. Won't save your mates hides.
  22. Making sure it s both "county and western".
  23. Its not the coaching/footy dept fault . They were screwed by the Admin and perhaps the board.
