  1. Not many until we start showing some elan for the battle. Last year it only appeared once. Good teams come to play at least 75% of the season with some off days. For all the praise of Neeld as a brilliant coach his charges have shown SFA. So far his message rings hollow. Now the buzz word is culture change. Fair enough but is as good an excuse as any to justify crap performance and squeeze more time. And the people who put us in this awfull mess are still running the show. And there are no bigger fools than those that keep telling us year after year that we are heading in the right direction but keep moving the goal posts along with new excuses. Basically now there is no more time for crap and we better see some real attitude on the field. Wins will then follow.
  2. I don't know why you people froth over him. Never ever head him speak or read his paper(the australian?). For me he only lives in Demonland bellyaching. Sounds like he takes some legitimate criticisms and mixes it with copious bile to keep all you guys sqealling and bleating. Get a life.
  3. If he put in a second effort after fumbling that mark there may have been a slim chance for a different result. Choosing to squat on and thumping the turf in frustration sums up his career.
  4. The best improver for the season. Has the potential to be All Australian CHB. Only downside is that he has the poor disposal disease which afflicts alll our backline.
  5. Because we seek true happiness in the afterlife.
  6. Its the ostrich farm syndrome kicking in.
  7. if Clark may not be fully fit for next year and Dawes will be our only key forward we may have no alternative but pay overs despite the question marks over his head. If Colingwood are thinking this way they will drive a hard bargain.
  8. Goggle "is full recovery possible from a lisfranc fracture". Steadyhealth website. There are accounts from suffers of this injury. Quite sobering. Cant link the page. Fortunately Mitch has the courage to overcome this injury.
  9. It is heartening to hear that Richo got through his injury. As yet we do not know the true severity of Clarks injury as he is not playing or running yet. Though both big units they play a lot different especially in the mental department. Richo is far more gifted but never worked really hard as he could when things were not going well and disappeared quickly when he could not get good supply. Most of Clark's productivity came from converting gut busting 1%ers against the odds with a dash of recklessness last season. If he does recover fully what effect will that have on his approach to the game? Our midfield and forward structure will have to become a hell of a lot better so he does not have to risk himself at most contests.
  10. This all started when I made the call that TS was well and truly gone around March 2011. Copped heaps of abuse, got flamed and provoked to retaliating and then suspended frequently. I used to be a mild passive sort of poster before then. Funny thing is, all the Melbourne supporters I speak face to face agree with me or mildly disagree in a friendly manner on what I say. Cyber bullies are over rated and really quite harmless because they are mere [censored] in real life.
  11. Sorry mate you are stuck with me. Have a Bex.
  12. What are you thinking? Selling tickets to our 2016 premiership party already? Dawes better stop backsliding and improve quickly. We have to wait 18 months before we see if Hogan has got anything at AFL level and a few more years to establish himself. And we don't know if Clark will be able to stand on his toes ever again. Pick 20 is too valuable to weigh so lightly against the Cale Morton and the the rest; Just more if's and buts from you presented as facts.
  13. The club has not been able to work out how to use his talents to best advantage.
  14. I liked all the excitement he brought to our club but deep down I thought he was too good be true and it would never last.
  15. Getting Dawes is just a desperate act to get a name player to the club to make believe we are moving forward. Same for the lions and bulldogs.
  16. In the past 12 months I have come to the realisation that the major problem is the organisation at the top end that is the real problem. Players and FD have been scapegoats. They have failed this club badly and appear immune from removal. Only when they are gone I believe we will start moving forward.
  17. Very true. 2 or 3 hulking forwards will be usless without quality supply. Need to bolster defence too. And where the basic skills that have gone missing for years coming from?
  18. W When the deck chairs stop shuffling and elan and results start appearing in that order I will ditch my cynicism. Have heard too many tiresome excuses and false promises that justify our lameness past, present and perhaps future. As the old saying goes "show me the money?" Fortunately I have many real positives in my life to be cheerful about. And many other supporters feel like me but not many would waste their time here.
  19. All clubs that are struggling and clutching at straws BTW. There must have been a substantial sweetener.
  20. Dawes in our side will be just as effective as when James Sellar plays forward. Will do some good things but will struggle to dominate. At least Sellar has some cred as a defender and is Dawes equal as a pinch hitter in the ruck. If he is the big hulk we hoping he will be then why did none of the big clubs want him? Collingword preferred the aging "hands of stone" to him.
  21. I hope the club did not fritter away the lions share of the war chest on this dilettante and lose Martin and pick 20 to boot. Eeeech!
  22. I thought you blocked me. Why do persist in torturing yourself. To HT. Dawes had really two choices bad and bad that fit in with his No 1 priority which appears to be his studies. So much for the big fish. So far only landed the fish john west rejects.
  23. Not surprising. If you don't like what you hear, better get that head in the sand quickly.
  24. And Mick Mathouse former filth and now scum said he would be a great coach. Great backhander that was.
