  1. Are you really saying there are no dodgy umpires in Cricket? Don't know what outcome you are looking for but I suggest the purchase of a stud finder may help reduce the injury and pain you suffer.
  2. That could be the case but I am sure smart and proactive and clubs would try and get in early. I guess Sheedy thought he was smart and proactive in poaching Scully early but since proved to be his delusion. Frawley's current indifferent form and playing out of position is not a great selling point assuming he is still in the market.
  3. On the assumption that Frawley is already gone I would not surprised if he has told Roos he is leaving and both come to an arrangement for a smooth exit. As he will not fit in to our future plans it still allows Frawley to help out the club by filling big holes in the forward line. It also will allow him to depart with some grace and dignity and avoid the destabilisation and turbulence that occurred when the little malingerer left.
  4. Maybe he wants money and success. May be willing a play for a modest discount if likelihood of success is in the package.
  5. If a deal has been done already with an unknown club then all these rumoured figures could be just a smokescreen to fob off unwanted suitors. For all we know the Hawks may already own him at a lesser price.
  6. Can we trade him for Watts?
  7. What are the answers? If you know them, speak up! Every single sport has the same issues with home team support and cowered officialdom.
  8. That would be the great Peter McKenna.
  9. I would go with points 2, 3 and 5. We have had a swiss cheese defence since Neil Balme's day. Even when we were good we could concede plenty. I do have a concern that at the moment we may not be able to stop good sides from scoring freely and us not being able to go with them. Hence blowouts are still on the cards.
  10. I believe Terlich is great value Some of his efforts are inspiring stuff. Looks like he's trying hard to clean up his disposal errors. Jones was a bit like him in his first few seasons.
  11. If he gets off, we can perhaps recruit Oscar Pistorius.
  12. Well he is our No 1 defender with a huge price on his head but not playing in defence. Your maths dont add up. Still a required player yes, but now spare parts for the forward line. If his form drops I expect he would be dropped rather than shifted back to defence. But now that he may be injured it may be a moot point.
  13. I see it this way. If Frawley goes back to defence he stays. If he continues to play forward he goes. Roos has made a clear statement he is going to rebuild us from defence first. Not going to waste his time building a defence around Frawley with all the doubt about his long term tenure unresolved.
  14. If you have an Ipad get the AFL app. Best $89 bucks I've spent in a long time. All games live and the replays broken down into quarters. I had to go out last night and was able to watch parts of the last quarter whilst I was having a shower. Missed nothing.
  15. Just be thankful we overcame all that. We won and your what if's dont change anything. What do you expect when we go over there with all the crowd hostility that gets louder and more intimidating when the game tightens up? Whining is not going to change human nature. Just like when everyone laughs at sitcoms with canned laughter over crappy jokes, no one is immune. A problem with us now is we can't generate huge hostile crowds to help sway umpires as much as WC, Pies, Crows etc. We may have not got into the 1988 GF if umpires were immune to crowd influence. WC's Ross Glendenning was denied a clear mark in front of goal in the dying seconds that helped us beat them by a couple of points.and advance to the prelim final. I prefer venting my anger for when we lose.
  16. Why are we complaining? WE WON!
  17. The most important factor IMO was that we were able to put on scoreboard pressure early and denying the Crows the same. The players were then able to keep the Roos game plan in lockstep thereafter. The same happened against Carlton. We are getting better for sure but we still lack an offensive game that can win for us from coming from behind. We still need to find the right balance, but we are well and truly on the way up. This was an absolutely outstanding win in an away game with 44,000 hostile fans screaming for our blood.
  18. My main concern is that we wont be able to score enough goals. We may be able to limit them to 10 goals but then we wont score more than 6 or 7. Even against the Swans though an improved performance, they were not far off from nearly doubling our score. I like to see some more freedom and risk taking when moving the ball forward.
  19. Good to see our our list of over stuffed peacocks slowly fading away. Honest battlers make me feel less frustrated and more confident and patient for future success.
  20. Lucas says more or less the same I said about NikNat a few weeks ago. Maybe something in the injury angle but thats no excuse for his lack of football brains.
  21. I am all for players like KH and Salem playing on their insticts if they get a sniff of goals. As long as they contribute regular 1% ers and score more goals than they miss then thats fine with me. That KH/Dawes example is a time when instinct delivered under extreme pressure. If he dished out to Dawes, the pressure would have moved quickly back on Dawes and he was no certainty to score or even get a kick away. Given our inability to score a decent amount of goals, guys that can make something out of nothing are a blessing. No one expects Cyril Rioli to dish out the ball wnen he sniffs a goal.
  22. I would say Neeld was more victim than villain. List management specialists Schwab and Connolly deserve a worthy mention.
  23. Well we ain't no just add boiling water to instant noodle job. Thats our lot for now. No alternatives brother!
  24. Hard to prove that Franklin was staging because he did get a whack. Georgiou can look at it as a medal to pin on his chest and have a great conversation piece for the rest of his life. Many a laugh for the retelling of how Buddy fell like a sack of spuds.
  25. I think privately Roos will be happy with all the media and fan heat on Watts. Gives him the opportunity to play with a straight bat whilst the demons play out in Watts head.
