Heppell I believe was one of Hird's staunchest supporters amongst the playing group.

If you search in Google news for "Stephen Dank Clinic" you will be able to read it at top of search page. Has a doctor there providing prescriptions for his bunnies. Is some woman doctor from Uruguay.
-
If that is the case we better start building a new powerhouse dynasty quick.
-
How about building a stadium at Waverly. Isn't that the demographic centre of Melbourne?
-
What's even more unbelievable is that Dank is still peddling his quackery at a private medical clinic in Sydney. How can this be allowed? http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/subscribe/news/1/index.html?sourceCode=DTWEB_MRE170_a_GGL&mode=premium&dest=http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/nrl/sport-scientist-stephen-dank-is-still-working-at-a-sydney-medical-clinic/news-story/1b48a782176b5b34d1a88477aac6300a&memtype=anonymous

It was in March five years ago that Scully had his infamous press conference. Beware The Ides of March.
-
Accuracy is so much more of a big deal for key forwards these days because they get far fewer opportunities. Like Hogan had maybe five shots at goal in the last game. Unlike when Jackovich played and could kick a lazy 8.7 and a few out of bounds before 3/4 time and 2nd tier forwards were bagging 70 plus goals for a full season. The pressure is on to nail goals especially within 30-40 metre range at favourable angles. I imagine there will be a lot of pressure on him in round one to turn a positive balance sheet. If he had kicked 5.5 instead of 2.2, not much would have been said. Only praise.

I just wonder if another scribe or media footy legend had came out with the Ox's comments, would there have been a press conference?
-
Reading again what the Ox said, I would not be surprised if he is taking a cryptic swipe at Hogan. Strange that he would be talking monetary depreciation of Hogan's kicking at this stage of the debate on Hogan's future intentions. Maybe he has heard rumours? The haste that Hogan felt it necessary to have a press conference sounds unusually defensive under the circumstances.

Now just a journeyman footballer incapable of maintaining the highest level for whatever reason. Could stil be a valuable contributer but has to reverse his declining trajectory. One of many that showed enormous potential and impact in their early careers then stagnate. Some fade quickly(Morton), others slower(Scully, Grimes). Injuries are a big factor for many. That foot injury he had a few seasons ago I am sure affected his progress.

Fox Footy Roundtable - Melbourne
John Crow Batty replied to Delusional demon 82's topic in Melbourne Demons
If that is the case then good. Can't learn tough uncompromising footy properly with a soft draw. Now we should have the caliber of players to take the game on. -
Agree totally. Why bother all. I hope Hogan gets back to playing good footy and ditch the Prima Donna stuff.
-
As I recall, the Ox almost always played up field and hit many from over 50 metres.
-
Dropping marks, wobbly kicking and unsympathetic umpires have made him depressed.
-
To deny he has made a 60 million dollar deal with the Dockers and wants to be a one club player.
-
Yes, exposes the lack of will of the AFL to be fair dinkum over drugs in sport.
-
Would be so simple to follow. Any injection to be done by a qualified person namely a registered doctor or nurse only. Any injectable substance to be prescribed by a club doctor only. Only substances on a players treatment sheet authorised by a doctor can be administered by injection or other route including frequency and doses. All administrations to be recorded on recording sheets. This is how it is done in the health system and consequences can be severe if procedures are not followed correctly. The AFL can lift their policy straight from the the mainstream health system. So in this case any other substance not listed on a players treatment sheet is covered by a blanket ban and no reasonable excuse is possible.

Jesse Hogan and his kicking for goal (merged thread)
John Crow Batty replied to Ricky P's topic in Melbourne Demons
He copped a lot of flak from opponents when he made mistakes and subsequent bitching and then he made more of the same mistakes. Did it too often last season when things were not going his way. I thought we might have seen less of it this season. Seems like this behaviour is being tolerated. Any other young player would be dragged if they did the same at first offence. Looking like developing more like a Fevola and Richo rather than a Carey, Brown or Brereton at this stage. Needs to channel and focus his frustrations in a positive manner like the latter three. -
Cam Pedersen - anything to worry about?
John Crow Batty replied to nutbean's topic in Melbourne Demons
If we lose Pederson for one week and GWS lose Cameron, we still will be better off. Not having him as well as the loss of McCarthy will be a massive loss for their forward potency. -
Actually I am pleased the likes of Dunstall and Healy are selling us short. I still have nightmares over the effusive drooling by the media of our prospects circa 2009/10.

Jeffy Garlett, the bargain of the century!
John Crow Batty replied to Jesse Christ's topic in Melbourne Demons
With a more offensive outlook and what appears a more polished middies setup I reckon he is good for 60 plus goals this season assuming few absences. -
Oliver does not appear one of the long list of Clayton's footballers we have recruited in the past decade.
-
Is there a chance Essendon may move up there permanently?

Surely not Rafael Nadal too? http://www.bbc.com/sport/tennis/35770949 http://www.foxsports.com.au/tennis/rafael-nadal-tired-of-doping-rumours-and-insists-maria-sharapova

I wonder if she is really human? More like humanoid. I doubt she is a pure product of just good genes, hard work and a healthy diet. I guess she has been fed a diet of all sorts of performance enhancing substances perhaps ethically wrong but not illegal since she first entered the tennis sausage factory at the age of 7 or thereabouts.
