On a serious note the Caminiti/Owen incident is very similar to the Neil Sachse/Kevin O’Keefe incident many years ago where Sachse charges at the ball and falls forward head first and hits O’Keefe’s knee who is coming the other way. Left Sachse a quadriplegic who eventually died of complications a couple of years ago.

The big Karrinyup shopping centre in Perth near my home is extremely busy today. Traffic everywhere, car park full and cars parked on verges risking fines. No one is home watching the WC game today and going for retail therapy instead.

Last night was deja vu for me. Was watching on AFL our game against Port in 2018 on a wet night in Adelaide. A real tough game like last night and we got murdered by maggots in the last quarter to make sure Port got up for a narrow victory. Uncanny the similarity.

We are allowing far more inside 50’s as well as marks. Midfield and forwards not applying enough pressure when oppositions run hot and losing too many centre clearances. Then again we appear less defensively minded and scoring far more freely this season. This game thought the ball seemed camped in their forward line too often. Despite the wet conditions we couldn’t keep it bottled up when we had it forward. 18 to 6 tackles inside 50 tell a story. Astounding we were still in the game at the death.

Just beware, we are dealing with a scorned Christian here.

I cant believe we lost by four points when the was ball parked in our defensive 50 for about 70% of the game. It was like we only made cameo entries in attacking 50.

max wont take too many contested marks just standing without even attempting to jump.

Players in top teams that are past 25 years old and around the best 20-25 range get traded due to salary caps and regeneration. Players in bottom teams around same range get delisted. Like to keep him on a lower salary but his rewards as an AFL player will be extended either way.

At this stage kind of reminds me of 2018 when we had a soft draw and beat up on lower sides. We will see where we truly at in a few weeks. Port are hot and this will be as tough a game as going up against Collingwood.
