  1. We have punish the Hawks severely next week for making Freo look good.
  2. I suspect opposition clubs top priority is winning the clearances against us every week. It’s obvious they put a lot of work in stopping us at the source. Our guys need to realise they being the hunted and not the hunters and step up.
  3. My only complaint over last night is that we haven’t sorted out the clearances issue, in particular centre clearances. This has to be sorted out or forget another flag. We have 4 A graders and a couple B+ rotating through the middle but don’t function as an effective unit. Where is the synergy and WTF is wrong with them?
  4. These days it’s called delisting. Players only get sacked for committing serious outrages, some of which are publicly known but most are swept under the carpet.
  5. GC are good at the moment. They easily handled Richmond last week where we struggled to suppress them the week before. I wouldn’t take this game lightly.
  6. That’s true and not likely but in theory the size of Bendigo/Ballarat and local region combined could support an AFL team.
  7. Has to be Canberra if there are 20 teams. There will be enough fans to fill a medium sized stadium and there is plenty of visitor infrastructure. No way Geraldton could be a chance. Only 40,000 inhabitants and few people live within cooee of the town. Same as for Alice Springs, Kalgoorlie and Bunbury. Northern Queensland and NT too damned hot and tropical for regular games. Newcastle and Wollongong worse than GWS for appreciation of the game. A combined ‘Gold Fields’ team might be a goer alternating between Bendigo and Ballarat. Extra Perth side playing out of Mandurah? an outside chance as well.
  8. AFL Tabes says it was 92 points.
  9. Like this guy.
  10. It’s a relief he is staying and no mucking about wasting time signing up. The way he has been playing was always confidence inducing he would stay.
  11. John Longmire kicked 14 goals against us when clobbered by North.
  12. As seen last season their win at the death game wins a lot of games but doesn’t stand up in finals.
  13. JVR got a lot more attention this week. North defenders played him very close and rarely left one on one when the ball was near him deep forward.
  14. Chandler has exceptional skills all round. His foot passing sublime.
  15. Good response against North after the very dirty game they played against us last season.
  16. Seriously I believe Jackson was a better player during his first 30 games. Seems now to be settled in some kind of limbo since second half of last season. Neither here or there and flatlining.
  17. I can never figure out who are the Turks and who are the Aussies on the ANZAC day match.
  18. I got the feeling the umpires were always ready to punish us when Richmond went deep forward but letting Richmond defenders get away with all sorts of outrages when we did.
  19. Not only contested but in congested situations where weight of numbers mostly prevent marks being taken. I posted in the first half he was getting both hands on the ball often but couldn’t hold on. When he got the first big one his confidence rose. His goal kicking routine is measured, balanced and well practiced like Dunstall and Lockett were who always took their time and never kicked the ball too aggressively. He is the type of forward who needs fewer opportunities to be productive. At this stage I would like to see him develop some more opportunistic skills to snag an extra goal or two from broken or open play like Ben Brown often does.
  20. Thats a relief. We gave up many similar leads last season.
  21. Freo Big Footy lamenting something Amiss. Thing is I don't think JVR would've been a reach at pick 10. All the recruiters must've been on drugs or some s**t for him to slide to 19. We’re gonna regret not picking JVR up Freo supporter, right under our noses this ******* club. we are ******s not picking up this kid
  22. Van Match Winner.
  23. Let Grundy ruck out the game and put Gawn deep forward. We have big man presence down there
