Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Seriously, when was the last time a player with his high stature and profile landed at the club? Must have been Jeff White two decades ago.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Given our poor strike rate with first round picks, I think the deal is good assuming Lever lives up to his expected form and influence. “A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush”. That proverb have never been more apt for our situation.

Are you there Harry? Vale Harry Beitzel
A good friend of mine got burned financially by the "Big H" on matters unrelated to this. Good media operator and a bit of a personality but one not to get involved in business with. Problem with him was that he believed his own hype and really thought he was the "Big H" in real life also.

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
And if we win it will take us to 11 wins and our best win result since 2006.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
A persistent problem for the last decade has been poor kicking skills. Hibberd and Melksham have made a huge difference in improving that.

All Grounds Dimensions - Some surprises
I think its great that all grounds are slightly different. Or else it would be like drop in pitchs in cricket. Will get boring if every ground and game is the same.

Time to show Oscar some respect!
As I recall Rance also copped a lot of criticism early in his career.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Asking for a lot there given the feisty forwards we have now. The request has been made adnauseum for a long time.

Nothing like a good spread topped off by a fiver.

Speaking of forwards when was the last time one of ours kicked five or more? I know Hogan had a few big bags but that's a while ago now.

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
Does it make any difference? We can't win at the MCG anyway.

Two Grimes and a half dozen Lamumba's do not equal a Hibberd.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
I remember watching him play in his Essendon days. He was the defender who stood out the most other than Hurley. His kicking was amongst the best in the AFL. Glad he still has the touch. Surprised Essendon let him go so easily.- THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS
Hird and the Colombian connection. http://www.theage.com.au/sport/reclusive-james-hird-spruiks-his-cacao-hunters-australia-chocolate-on-gay-and-lesbian-radio-20170422-gvq91b.html- THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS
Thompson must know a lot what has happened at his club and at other clubs as well. Same as Dank, Hird etc. A lot of this has to do with being caught whilst others have gotten away with it. They are mightily [censored] off that they may be the scapegoated and made examples of. Problem is they can't say more without incriminating themselves and perhaps other clubs (Geelong, GC?) and paying a much higher price be it admitting a crime, being sued and further trashing their dodgy reputations. Thompson also has a couple of flags to protect.- THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS
It's just amazing, Dank, Hird, Thompson and others all know the truth and want it out but just can't seem to articulate it. It must be a terrible burden the verbal paralysis holding it all in against their will.- The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised
The year we got Watts we also missed some great opportunities further down. We dudded with Bleese, Strauss and Bennell. We could have had Ballantyne, Shuey, D Beames, Sloane, M Walters, Zaharakis and Hannebery and a stack of other current good players. All these players came after Strauss and Bleese. We did get lucky with Jetta at pick 51.- The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised
Those match ups 1-5 make me wince. Watts and NicNat would be at least a draw. The others 100 point thrashings.
