  1. Jeremy Howe tries to mark far too often. Colin Garland has been surpassed at AFL level. tyson, M.Jones, and Viney are thinking all the hard work is done now we've won a few games. Leaving too much to too few. Dawes spending too much time asking for free kicks, just compete big fella. If I see one more midfielder bomb in straight to their loose man, I'll Jump through the screen and strangle him myself. I cannot believe we are playing this poorly, the umpiring is horrific and we're down by 14 points. We need to win this game. God I want it.
  2. Youre a [censored] joke Colin Garland. Get [censored]
  3. Frawley I've been confident on all year until a good chat I had with a knowledgeable footy mate of mine last night. I said I was confident he was Staying, direction etc etc, and he told me to produce a statement where Frawley said I want to stay. He said footballers will use their buzzwords but until you hear that, they're as good as gone. Gibbs said it in a statement, Fyfe has said he wants to stay at Freo, the best we've got out of James is his blood bleeds Red and Blue. I Think he's made up his mind long ago...
  4. Garland is not half the player he was 2 years ago. Skills appalling and slower than a turtle. You've been passed Colin.
  5. To be fair, he never said take the game off Melbourne. He said implement measures so that games like that never get played again- the style as opposed to the game itself. All things aside, it's not a good article and well done to whoever researched re North low scoring games. Someone needs to tell KB, somehow he's got it in his head that every game prior to 2006 was an amazing shoot out with super key forwards.. There's crap and good games every year, the bloke is literally ruining this game.
  6. I can see how it would be considered boring watching on the TV where you're forced what to watch by the lens of the camera, but I was there on Monday and everyone was on the edge of their seat for the first 2 and a half quarters. The score might not be entertaining but by God the contest was.
  7. I'm wondering who was the one who said all this 'you won't be here after next year' stuff to him. I get it's done good things for him, and motivated him but surely that's not the right way to go about it. I'd be absolutely shocked if that was Paul Roos' approach to the situation! Roosy seems far more of a 'break your game into little areas and work on these ones, but these ones are okay so get the bad ones right and you can have a good 2014'. If in fact that was Neil Craig and the old footy department, it doesn't surprise me how out of touch they were. It would be hard to roll into pre-season if the coach had that attitude about you.
  8. With your sentence structure, I'd say you need to keep the 5,000. God forbid your job if your next boss is a woman.
  9. Reading jazzas comments is actually laughable. I've never felt I've known a misogynist but I'm on par now! Newsflash chump, she was an assistant coach at Port and she'll be assistant coach at Saints. I know a bloke at Port Melbourne, a very good footballer who said she was brilliant. It doesn't surprise me you know noone who would respect a female coach... Sadly I think that says more about you though.
  10. Think that's reasonably put. It now raises the counter-scenario.. Could have fined him and sat him out of the year of footy citing season ending surgery and delisted him early of contract at the end of the year leaving his life and football career with some possibility. He is now not a single chance of getting picked up, yet Marley Williams and Toby Greene will run around in 4 weekends for separate teams after causing serious physical harm to people. Do I understand why they did it? Yes. Does the punishment and subsequent life-altering media circus following it fit the crime..? I don't think so.
  11. With all due respect, therein lies the problem. You're a supporter Sat, just like me, and whilst we might think we know what's good for an emblem people are paid to make those decisions. If Schwab et.al were actually asking supporters who regularly rocked up to training for emblem advice we were far more in strife than I ever anticipated.
  12. 4 posts all claiming to be involved with a 'high employee at the club', all posted under the username hogansheros, not to be confused with the non-stop poster 'hogansheroes' who told everyone yesterday that Jamar would be the sub as a joke ... Gathered everyone would think he was obviously having a laugh.. Call me naive, if you want to believe Hogansheros go for your life, but we have enough people on here making rumours I think I'll just let my mind wander when it comes to this topic.
  13. You've posted 4 times under a username eerily similar to the biggest loop on the site. Forgive us for ignoring you.
  14. Please. He has good attributes but his skill errors directly cost us 3 goals today. Not to mention up by 4 points in the third quarter, him receiving a ball in the middle running to CHF and turning it over with an over the head handball. He's a good footballer but he's not immune to criticism. He played a stinker today and deserves his whack. We're not a basket case now, if he can't do his job we'll find someone who can.. It's the Roos way. I'll be watching with anticipation.
  15. It was stupid. Onto the game, I like Toumpas as a sub, and am hoping really influences the game for a full 4 quartets. He's had good sub appearances now its time to assert himself. We stop Boak in the middle, Gray at HF, Wingard deep and Polec off wing/HBF. Come on Dees.
  16. Last year people would've paid the $110 for a chance to smuggle him off in a black ummarked van. I've always hated the saying, but god a year is a LONG time in football.
  17. Arrow

    Sidebottom

A week!?! Bloody lucky he didn't break his jaw. If he doesn't get 3 down to 2 as a minimum I'll lose all faith in the system. No place for those acts. Typical Collingwood
  18. Bingo. Even when players are going on overseas trips they are 'advised' to travel with the AFL's official sponsor. In this case, given no flights were applicable to destination at the time convenient to the Dees I'm guessing they flew QANTAS instead.
  19. On a sad note, Rivers looks a quarter of the player he used to be. I thought he'd be a huge beneficiary of the 'zoning' off Geelong system but he looks completely lost. **** Sydney are good though. Start talking to Tom Mitchell now Demons.
  20. Dead set, surely in the COC there's something about continually causing conflict. I don't mind posters who try and debate whether a player is done but this clown drops a bomb in every thread and runs. Our threads go so off-track, let's start making these posters aware this forum isn't a place to make a mockery of supporters who actually want to talk Melbourne footy.
  21. I really like West Coast's! Too many have ditched their actual jumper to just chuck on some aboriginal drawings. Eagles have kept the Eagle and incorporated the aboriginal side to it. That wins for me. Ours is certainly top 3 though. Alot of rubbish in there.
  22. I'm just suggesting it's going to be an offer like that. GWS want older talent, and I don't think any clubs will want to drop a low low pick for him. We got lucky that we got pick 9 back for Tyson, but GWS don't have the mid first round selection this year. They'll want a pick 3,4,5 for him but I think they'll settle for a pick 10 for an older sweetener. My statement of I'll be surprised if he isn't in yellow and black was a bit outlandish, it should've said IF he moves, I would say Richmond would be the frontrunners.
  23. Richmond offered a decent contract last year. They'll be willing to part with pick 8 and someone like Vickery for Shiel and pick 30. Be surprised if he's not in yellow & black.
