  1. I'm optimistically hoping you're way drunker than what you suggested you were before because currently Costello's comments are looking smart compared to yours. Go and re-read your player assessment of a NAB cup game on the group of players whom most have played less than 30 games in any AFL capacity. Not only do you look quite the fool, I'm embarrassed to hear such crap coming from a fellow 'supporter' of my great club. If this is your attitude every time we lose, give me your bank details, ill pay you back for your membership and you can go support someone else.
  2. / FWIW i check the AFL site and it was 26 free kicks ESS to 14 MFC. Not 52 28 like one suggested
  3. I agree, but 14 free kicks to 0 in the last isn't due to undiscipline football. Angus Monfries put Strauss' arm under his arm and bought it towards his body then got himself a free kick. a chicken wing should be a mfc free kick. one of the umpires last night was nothing short of a joke and should retire to be a professional masterbater.
  4. Never done it before so I'm thinking i may well be the brisbane lions of the league! We shall see! exciting though
  5. For me it's not a problem I'll be there with bells on but some have expressed a concern about it. Couldn't agree more. 4 games over 4 games is stupid. So many good venues to play it at that would suit both teams and supporters but what can we do sadly!
  6. Granted and I'm trying to get in back on track. Any problems with that?
  7. This argument has turned into too much about the girl if i may say so myself. The real issue here is how a man of 47 years old with a son nearly the girls age and a daughter a bit younger if i recall correctly could do such a thing. Sex (which is now looking more and more an issue) is just absolutely disgusting but even the act of going around is filthy. The question is... does the AFL pull the trigger on his managing contract. For mine its a yes but I think all facts need to be out there first...
  8. Yeah good point, I can certainly see where you are coming home. Like I said, its not that I don't feel sorry for her, I truly do think her situation is horrific (from what we have heard- true or false) I just can't fathom the fact that her blackmailing people with photos and ruining peoples lives is going rewarded. Again, I do understand her live may be considered ruined too but for Nick Riewoldt who arguably did absolutely nothing to her that performance is deplorable whether hurt by certain players or people or not. Glad we agree on something though
  9. How many can make the 7.10 thursday game? Alot have mentioned work and school as a buffer. Be interesting to see the numbers we can get down to Etihad.
  10. A shoulder reconstruction and i remember reading he went under the knife for a hip injury at the end of last season thus missing last few weeks of the VFL. Sounds as good as two reconstructions of me.
  11. NB: I dont know whether he will be a hit or a miss in big league however, there are very few ready made footballers in drafts. FWIW, there are only 5 players below him at 19 who have done more than sweet FA in the AFL. We chill out
  12. C & B you couldn't be more correct about Strauss. I forgot about you waking up every morning and attending each and every training. From the 4 televised games of his he hasn't performed well but there are far worse than that. I was at the intraclub and i thought he excelled far more than Bail and Bartram. He's had 2 reconstructions. You increasingly seem like the sort of supporter who as soon as a player doesn't come out and go Barlow you write them off. Enlighten me, how many 'worried about Watts' threads have you posted in?
  13. nuppp they get a week off!
  14. I don't see why everyone is seeing travelling to AAMI as a negative. Its adelaide they take their footy seriously. the stadium will be full-ish. This gives our players an opportunity to play at AAMI with no expectations like the regular season. with out the chip on their shoulder they may relax ignore the crowd and learn how to play in a hostile environment. I don't think there could be a better play to play a proper NAB Cup game for our team
  15. I thought Morton looked shocking. Granted he has seemed to filled out somewhat but looking at him there was no definition at all. Not to say he looked bad but just not match fit. i dont expect him to be Moloney but again he was being pushed around. I just can't put my finger on Morton
  16. |So so interesting you say this DD DDC i was about to come on and write that James was told on Friday that every kick in was to be a torp unless their is a short option on. He was [censored] himself and that second one that went about 65 he claimed was the only one he hit in 2 weeks of trying it. Really impressed though Bailey is thinking of these things. 1 point down to Collingwood with a minute to go and we do have a gameplan for it. I'm really starting to warm to the guy and his ideas.
  17. 378 posts and we won't be able to change or influence the decision one bit. funny isn't it
  18. keen as mustard
  19. Can someone explain ultimate footy?
  20. Funny that, I've got no time for people who's favourite Melbourne player is "Maloney".
  21. A good mate of mine is one of Jack's best friends. Basically, Carey unlike in year 7 are not giving Jack a scholarship, Melbourne are paying for his final years of Tuition. Basically, this now means that the Demons has 100% control over where he plays his football. Obviously, Carey are not in love with this idea as their 1st XVIII football team no longer will have full use of him but in terms of the MFC its good news. We can choose to play him in a mixture of school, oakleigh chargers and potentially vfl reserves to get his body fully ready for AFL Football!
  22. Interesting thing now realised by the AFL. They rank each draftee on the field of mental, fitness and skill based and rank them out of 120 points. Very interesting little system and well worth reading about. Interesting to hear your thoughts. Of note, Lucas Cook came 10th in the test. AFL 120 Test
  23. Also announced Todd Viney will be removed as Assistant Coach for Damien Drum. Cool news
  24. Dean Bailey fired for a pairing of Matthew Knights and Stan Alves
  25. I understand all of the above comments, however we also now have 3 tall forwards under 21, and although Howe may be of size Watts and Cook are still lean. Hanson is a premiership player and to have him on the rookie list to try and guide and teach our young forwards isn't the worst idea. That said, if there is young good talent available for the FD to pickup in the rookie I would certainly suggest taking that first. Sorry just abit of devil's advocate
