Bobby McKenzie replied to Straight Sets Simon's topic in Melbourne Demons
As I said Jerry, it is only my opinion. if the coaches reckon Cam played better than I thought what's the problem? It's their opinion against mine. QED -

OK I'll simply change the word 'ability' to 'performance on the day'.Therefore my remark now doesn't miss the point. Fair enough? -

You could say simply that you are not a good judge of a player's ability! -
My 3 word player analysis V The Fockers
Bobby McKenzie replied to joeboy's topic in Melbourne Demons
Bruce-Rarely sighted? He must have been the invisible man to rake up 27 possessions. Most of them effective too. Also harsh on Jamar. Have a look at his score on the AFL game day Live. I think it was 108 which is a bit more than being rarely sighted. You must have been in a foul mood today mate. -

Oh no! I didn't have you on my list as a Bruce hater Jerry. -
Some reliable inside information I received by phone is that Junior will not be considered because of your reasoning above. Well done Jaded!
-
Yeah me too. He must have found that hard to bear! Cam could kick 10 goals straight from 10 disposals and his baggers would declare them inefficient because they didn't split the posts and only scraped in.

Great stuff mate! I didn't know of Cam's shin problem and what sort of guts does that show? Terrific leadership indeed. I bet YM would declare himself unavailable if he had a blister on his little toe! Bruce's so called bad handballs are only so because some of our boys are not ready for the swiftness of them. They fumble the ball and Cam gets the rap from our 'expert' Bruce haters. I have followed the Dees since the '50s and Bruce is in my top 50 players of my time. He is also a real role model as a BALL player. He is scrupulously fair at all times. Definite captain next year!

Not playing for the Hawks this week. Injured or not selected?
-
Who is Boyle? Who does he play for? Couldn't see his name in any of the teams this round. Would have to be good to be better than Bruce. Stupid trade that! It won't happen!

VIC Metro vs WA on Fox Sports - Wednesday July 9th
Bobby McKenzie replied to Yze_Magic's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agree. Naitanui has a LONG way to go to be a champion AFL footballer. I was disappointed with his play and lack of presence around the ground. I can't remember him taking even one big grab which considering his big leap was surprising. Although Watts was quiet in this game, he looked all class when he got the ball. Rich was good in the first half but faded when tagged. I thought Vickery showed a lot more potential than Naita. The standard of play by the Vics in particular was impressive and there were many good prospects showing their talents. In fact, any team finishing just outside or even in the 8 are likely to pick up some good talent. Finishing last for the sake of getting a good pick is no longer important. There are many standouts in this year's bunch of youngsters. I'd go for Watts then Rich. Mind you No1 for Vic Met was a likely colt too. He was a ball magnet and tough into the bargain. Can anyone remember his name? -
You're in 'Ooze2 Juice'. Our tally is now 15. Anymore out there?

Bobby McKenzie replied to LeBron James's topic in Melbourne Demons
Thanks for the footage of the '64 GF. I enjoyed it. I'll have a look at the GF 1960 tomorrow. Cheers mate. -
Of course Peter Marquis made the list and was a great player indeed. Sorry 'pitmaster', I didn't pick up Peter Marquis from your nickname. 14 now. Join the club!

Just noticed the name Don Cordner on the forum. Add his name to my list. Any others that I've missed?

On a wet winter's afternoon in Perth with nothing better to do I have found at least 12 of our posters who have made the 150 Heroes list. Donny Williams, Yze Magic, Stewie Spencer, Bobby McKenzie, Maurie Lithen, Bay Riffin, Cameron the Bruce, Green N Juice, Neita 3000, Biffinator, do it 4 robbie and Neitaaa. I am sure I have missed a few so feel free to add to my list. Who knows, we may have 150!

Happens to me regularly too 'Jack 7'. I also tick the keep me logged in box but it doesn't help. It is annoying isn't it? Come on one of you moderators tell us what's happening! What are we doing wrong?

Jack Watts - Confirmed #1 Pick in 2008 Draft - Booyah!!!
Bobby McKenzie replied to Tex's topic in Melbourne Demons
2 more for Melb and 4 for the Eagles. My very humble call. Don't ask me which two we will win. We are too unpredictable. Eagles will win most of their remaining home games I think. They would love to beat the Dockers. -

Jack Watts - Confirmed #1 Pick in 2008 Draft - Booyah!!!
Bobby McKenzie replied to Tex's topic in Melbourne Demons
Well spoken mate. Our best two players and the non thinkers on the forum want to get rid of them! I think Sunday showed that with the blending of youth and experience we can play some really good footy. However, playing this brand of footy that we displayed against Brisbane CONSISTENTLY will naturally take time to evolve and won't happen overnight. We will still get excellent draft picks including a priority pick and that's all we need. You must have seasoned, proven players as well as promising, developing youngsters. WE DON"T NEED TO TRADE ANYONE! Due to our poor start I can't see us getting off the bottom of the ladder and we WILL get pick number ONE. -

Official word is that he can't jump over a match box which is not encouraging for a potential ruckman. The fitness boys have him doing special upward jumping exercises to improve this situation. Let's hope it works.
