  1. No! Ask David Neitz or Ben Holland.
  2. No way. Bohdan has a TWO YEAR contract. He still has another year to go. Good for you Rhino in defending him from the senseless WITCH HUNTERS like Jaded and co. You at least, have done some research into Bohdan's abilities.
  3. Do you really want Bruce cutting us up for the next few years at another club? I don't! You don't know for sure No 5 pick is going to produce the goods. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
  4. Couldn't agree more Madness. Kepler Bradley is not wanted by Sheedy thus IF Sheedy becomes coach he still will not be required. Bradley just boots the ball anywhere like a good old country footballer. His disposal is very, very ordinary and makes Bruce's kicking look sublime. He is nowhere near Bruce's talents and we would lose on the suggested trade so much. I cannot understand why Cameron Bruce is so criticised on this forum as he is one of our top 6 players and has been for at least 5 years. People have so very short memories and conveniently forget the brilliant games he has played for the Dees.
  5. I think Brisbane have 14 on their injury list. Even ahead of us!
  6. I know fully understand what you mean. Thanks mate. Go the Zebras!
  7. Thanks Bazza and Deelicious9 for your answers. The only thing that still puzzles me though is the fact that Deelicious9 said that Geelong does not have a twos team. What is the difference between our twos, Sandringham and theirs, Geelong? Thanks again, sorry I'm being so dumb here.
  8. I know it was mentioned last year, but can someone please explain why Geelong in the VFL can choose as many AFL players in the finals as they wish. If our affiliate team was called MELBOURNE and not Sandringham would we have the same rule favouring us? This particular issue does confuse me somewhat. Thanks.
  9. AND WET TOAST!
  10. Surely you couldn't blame Bohdan for ANY of our injuries last night? He is a well qualified man and it's just plain BAD LUCK our injuries run this season. He's as good as you can get.
  11. I hope that we keep big Ben next season. He is greatly respected by his teammates and can play on the forward line and the backline. Go Dutchy!
  12. Sorry to be dumb here but what exactly has bwell done? I have just finished reading a few of his posts and they all seem to be harmless enough. Not defending him, just asking. [mod edit: please do not quote whole posts if they are long. It clutters up the thread. Thanks]
  13. Worn out record! Jaded, did you watch Brown closely on Sat night? I took particular note of his kicking and there were very few times he didn't hit his target. Give him a break, and focus on his guts and determination. You could never contemplate dropping him after last week.
  14. Couldn't agree more about Nathan Brown. He is unfairly criticized on this forum for his apparent lack of skills. I watched his kicking closely tonight and he found his target on almost all occasions. His courage has never been in doubt.
  15. Who could ever forget the great Stuart Spencer's LONG raking drop kicks? Geoff Tunbridge had the ugliest kick I have ever seen, but boy,his kicks always managed to wobble between the goal posts much to the disgust of our opponents.
  16. Thanks for the explanation Jarka. Good thoughts and I concur. I should have said we are playing 'some kids' on reflection. I was mainly trying to have a go at the so called 'supporters' who 'rubbish ' our beloved team the moment things go wrong. Typical fair weather supporters.
  17. Please explain!
  18. Travis Johnstone, what's the news on him?
  19. Still continuing the witch hunt on Bohdan? Get real, he can't control injuries on a football field. It is simply bad luck, pure and simple.
  20. Dunn and Garland have played already this year. Not Bode though.
  21. 'Play the kids' was the cry from many on this forum when our season ended early. We ARE playing the kids and getting thrashed so now we read comments like,"shameful performances, embarassing" etc. What do people want? Every week this season we have had at least four top players out for one reason or another. What do they expect? After many touted our list as good as any other team at the start of the season some are calling our team the worst in the league with no hope for the future. They are still the same players and still have the same ability so why the gloom and doom for next year? Get off the team's back and show a bit of encouragement to the youngsters. Please be loyal true blue supporters and not whingers and moaners.
  22. Same as you brentnall, Sheedy or Sandy's Mark Williams.
  23. Great article about a great man. Thanks Bay.
  24. When I was a young teenager, I managed to sneak into the Melbourne rooms at half time. The Dees were the top team playing the lowly 'shinboners' and even though the game was being played at Arden St, we were only leading by one point. Smithy was furious and he let his players know about it. I can still see seasoned players like Barassi,Mithen, Spencer, Dixon and the like reacting so positively to his fiery words. Ronald Dale was almost frothing at the mouth and couldn't get back on the ground quick enough for the second half. As a result of Norm's words of wisdom the mighty Dees extended their one point lead to ten goals to easily win the game. Yes, Norm Smith was indeed a legend of the highest order. I hope we get another one like him one day. Don't we all!
