  1. Hawkins elbow to the head. Concussion test happening.
  2. lol suck it Selwood. Some of your own medicine.
  3. Fritta needs to get his head in the damn game.
  4. We really should get this done. Wet weather makes me nervous as we have a tendency not to play to the conditions. But surely we’ve learned that lesson by now. All part of our growth, maturity and insert other buzzword. The Gawn/Jackson split of ruck duties will be one to watch again. It worked well against the Giants with Gawn being a real presence going forward. Geelong will likely concede the taps much like the Lions did against Grundy so we need to be awake to that and make best use of the big man with the armband. Also interested in how Clarry handles a likely O’Connor tag, as well as Season 2 Episode 4 of the Kozzie show. We play something remotely close to what we’re capable of and we go 4-0.
  5. They are really teeing off on Grundy over there. It’s amazing. Imagine these kind of posts being made about Gawn. “At what point is he traded for a 2nd rounder to get his utterly ridiculous salary off our books? Not even a joke now, completely serious discussion needs to be had. Beaten by a retired 35 year old ruck coach today whose body is held together with tape” “It was a bad contract even when he playing well....” ”Grundy should offer to take a pay cut. I’m serious. It would be the gesture of someone really invested in the club.” ”Send a message to this bloke!! Drop him and leave him there for a month. His efforts are weak as [censored], got his mega contract and switched off.” ”Give back the money coward. Guys that compete week in, week out like Mihocek and get paid peanuts because this greedy ******* drinks his own bathwater. Tarzan looking, Jane playing [censored].” ”Brodie is invested in himself , $$$$$$ Like i stated many moons ago, If i`m i the trenches, I don`t want him in my trench he is a pea heart”
  6. Love him. Screw the haters.
  7. So apparently no Hurn = no Eagles. They’ve been a disaster down back.
  8. The 1.9 scoreline is symptomatic of our year. We were good enough to be playing in the granny, just lacked that composure. Well done girls. Go again next year and plenty of goal kicking practice in the off season.
  9. Great work @hells bells
  10. I seem to be on my pat malone in that regard. That’s fine. I hate Richmond so maybe that is tainting my view. The game got better in the second half and am not denying the intensity, but it was an error ridden first half and a large number of mistakes were under no pressure at all. Uncharacteristically so. You rarely see the Eagles or the Bulldogs turn it over for fun like that. I’m not excusing it on the conditions either. The skills were just poor and neither side punished the other for it. . Our pressure this year appears to have gone to a new level. Early days but I don’t think matching that level is beyond us at all. What impressed me most was both sides’ ability to run the game out. When it looked like the Tigers would steamroll them Port found another gear. That’s where and when I think we will get challenged most against the good sides.
  11. “There are errors” lol Yeah, one or two.
  12. Skills wise the level has been absolutely deplorable.
  13. If you didn’t know any better you could be forgiven for thinking this is two bottom 8 teams slugging it out.
  14. Agreed on both counts. Pains me to admit it but they got reamed. That was my first look at the scum this season. They won’t be an easy 4 points.
  15. Yep, ideal result for us really. Would have spent a lot of petrol tickets and got the win to escape scrutiny and maybe rest on their laurels.
  16. They will get found out. Starting next week.
  17. Oh Frosty.
  18. I know it’s just a game but I feel like I genuinely hate Joel Selwood.
  19. Geelong’s defense is their main strength. Should be a low scoring affair. They are immensely gettable though.
  20. Honestly, training reports are great, but threads like these are what make Demonland worthwhile. Glorious.
  21. I wouldn’t drop Jetta based on that game and I’m a Hibbo fan. Hunt would’ve been my straight swap but not after tonight. T Mac very much felt like a placeholder. As soon as Brown or Weid are ready he’s out for mine. They’re not, so he stays. Sparrow for Melksham I’d be happy with. He makes us a more dangerous side. No changes otherwise.
  22. 6. Gawn 5. Hunt 4. Langdon 3. Viney 2. Salem 1. Pickett
  23. Didn’t look at the stats. 69% tonight is lower than I would’ve thought. He did well on the eye test. Maybe his best possessions were in our half of the ground.
  24. Was at the game watching from the pocket. It was messy but it never really looked in doubt, even before they went two men down. We are setting up very nicely behind ball and there’s no sense of panic amongst the back 7 regardless of circumstance. Lots of communication which is great to see. Individuals: Thank god for Gawn. Hunt earned a few more weeks at least. He was excellent. Nibbler won’t be dropped for the rest of the year. When you talk pressure inside 50 he’s at the heart of it. Lever was hot and cold. His cold was awful. Oliver likely won’t play a worse game this year. Kozzie is going to give headaches to every side. Gus and Salem are now mature players. Composed every time with ball in hand. Langdon simply doesn’t stop running. A brilliant acquisition. Bank the four points. Far from perfect but we beat a team we should’ve beaten. Gotta take that.
