I don’t know what that goal means to Mitch, I just hope he knows it will live long in the memory of every Dees fan. Best of luck to him.

If ever a banner summed up a season.

Are you suggesting that an AA selection panel consisting of Kevin Bartlett, Matthew Richardson and Danny Frawley showed any hint of Richmond bias? No. I won’t hear of it.
-
Hopefully back next week. Must watch/listen. I think Lever mentioned during the Casey game that the players were given a few days off this week so not sure if that is a factor.

One eyed supporter calling it early but I reckon we are looking at another draft nailed. Rosman and Bowey have class written all over them.

Nah he was very good. Worked hard and competed well in the air. Really should’ve had six or seven. A couple of simple ones missed by his standard. He’s putting priceless pressure on T Mac to maintain his current form.

Solid but kicking has been poor. Fine margins at the moment to break in.
-
Lol Harmes visibly unimpressed he didn’t get the handball from White then
-
Yep. He’s been solid but he’ll need to be better than this to get back in you’d think.
-
Am I crazy or does Mitch White look like Dean Terlich? Feel free to answer those questions separately.
-
Christ. I’m starting to feel embarrassed for them.

Whoever started this mullet trend with the kids should be shot.

Doesn’t seem that long ago that Salem didn’t even rate a mention in the Kelly v Tyson/Salem debate. He was the steak knives at best. Now Tyson is fighting to break into the worst side in the comp, Kelly has fallen off a cliff, and Salo right now would be the All Australian half back. It’s a funny old game.

Classy finish across the body by Rosman

How to put this delicately. [censored]. No. Let him rot at the Pies for the remainder of his ****ty, undecorated career. Oh my mistake. He’s in the Collingwood leadership group. Well done Jezza. A fine achievement. Maybe they can print you out a certificate.

Sweet, sweet hatred. Beats the hell out of pity. Especially from that bunch of mouth breathers. Bring it on.

“Hey look a player appreciation thread. What a perfect opportunity for me to write an essay outlining why that player sucks in every way possible.”
-
Spot on and as anyone who has played sport at any level will testify, this stuff matters.

Can happily say I’ve never been on the Nibbler hate train. The bloke is a toiler and the game now suits him better than it ever has. Long live the Nib.

I understand the need to vent sometimes. Certain turnips in the media do my head in with their obvious distaste for Melbourne doing well. But a bit of context for the two you’ve pointed out. Cornes is the footballing equivalent of a shock jock. His job is to say things that will get people up in arms and create talking points. So you simply have to take what he says with a grain of salt. Although he’s also not the only one to have that take on Kozzie. I loved it personally. And Koz as an entire package for that matter. .I thought King raised some interesting points, in particular whether there was any danger in changing your gameplan for certain opponents. That is the use of handball to break through Richmond as opposed to kicking it long to be picked off by their intercept defenders. Montagna countered by saying it was fine to tinker with the gameplan as long as there aren’t fundamental changes week to week. As you point out, King went early with the grand predictions for Melbourne and got burnt, so he’s taking the cautious approach. But even on first crack he was still very complimentary saying the ducks were all starting to line up. You get the feeling the players aren’t listening to the media noise anyway. Which hasn’t always been the case.. That’s what matters.

Definitely. He’s been a proponent of the side when few others were because “Melbourne”. He just went a bit early. In particular he has often talked up Salem’s quality and importance to the side. Again when few others do. Though maybe even he is surprised by the level he’s gone to this season.

Being at the game, it’s hard to make sense of it. Either we are awesome or Richmond are rubbish. Either way. Thank you to the dreaded lunatic sitting next to us who asked every Tigers supporter that walked past if their scarf was a noose. Never mind the fact they have won 3 flags, You made a strange night very eventful.

Geeze he’d be pumped to be sharing this milestone with Jones’ 300th. Well done Gussy. Here’s to the next 100.

If Fritta is ready, he becomes a straight swap for Melksham. They surely won’t drop T Mac when he’s showing this kind of form. Jackson is performing his role well and also stays. Even if we move T Mac to the wing, a team with Gawn, Jackson, T Mac, Weid, BB and possibly Fritta tips the balance too far out of whack IMO. So just one of BB or Weid to replace M Brown. On paper you would go BB. That said, seven goals is seven goals. If memory serves, Weid has generally translated his VFL form across to AFL in the very next game he plays. So if picked I would back him in to play well. My gut says go with Weid but it’s a coin toss. Brown debuting in Jones’ 300th on Anzac eve would be quite the event. I have a feeling they will go Brown for Brown with Weid just unlucky that T Mac is in form.

Imagine thinking your team was primed for a crack at the top four and five rounds into the season you’ve won the least amount of quarters in the league. Less than North ffs.
