Totally agree, however the other wet blanket is the importance of the appointment at the end of Roos' contract. There is the hope he will stay on, but as it stands he won't be, so we need to nail the appointment of his successor to keep the train rolling. But at least we can say the train is now on the tracks.

Yep, he was.

Toump also seems to be something of a Stone favourite. Appears to be in his ear a lot.
-
His greatest contribution by a country mile has been Dawesy.
-
That snap at goal. Excited about him and Russian for the next season or two, but the Max attack in a few years time (King and Gawn) is also going to be a beautiful thing.
-
Hopefully he's just rusty. He could get every player's name wrong, and I'd still prefer him over Derwayne.

We know what Garlo is capable of from what he produced on a weekly basis last season. I'd be looking at Terlich, Grimes and T Mac before Garlo. He just needs a couple of weeks to get used to the level again. Frawley must come back if fit. Someone will have to make room, perhaps undeservedly.

Yep, losing to Melbourne is still deemed to be the greatest shame in football. Happened to Carlton, Adelaide and now Richmond. No longer bothered by the commentary. The improvement is visible and real. That's all I care about.

Definitely some selection headaches this week and moving forward as the best 22 still needs to be settled. Hogan and Trengove to slot in next year with a few of the fringes starting to make inroads such as Blease and Tapscott. Would be a real shame to see either of Toump or Salem get dropped on the back of what was a promising performance. Of those two it would be Salem but I'd prefer neither. The kids need to keep playing as long as they are performing to the level required. If Dawes escapes sanction, I'd be looking at Terlich to make way for Frawley. Which won't happen.

My favourite line I read: "Discusted is an udderstatement" Felt like telling him to stop talking bullsh!t.

It's a given. Jonesy isn't going anywhere.

The Tigers having more scoring shots is almost irrelevant. They blazed away and then sometimes got a second chance when we failed to get the ball out of defensive 50. Overall it was more than evident who the better team was. Can't quite get over centre clearances being 14-5 in our favour.

All Australian at this point. Has to be.

Typical but not really surprising. What else can he say when the brutal truth is that they are stuffed. The reality of where their list is at is setting in now. It has to be. They massively overachieved last year and fooled themselves into thinking that the list just needed some fine tuning with the likes of Hampson and Petterd. When your greatest shining light is a first gamer, that says it all. And the supporters contribute towards the delusion being ingrained. Say what you want about our supporters, but I think the majority have remained pretty realistic about where we are at. Tigers supporters seem to be at one extreme or the other - thinking they are world beaters or the sky is falling. Speaking of which, I wonder how that muppet who advertised on here the fact he was switching to the Tigers is feeling.

It just makes the win all the sweeter. There were some APPALLING, momentum changing decisions that I would still be fuming over had we lost the match. Fortunately, we didn't, so who cares. We put the final nail into Richmond's season. Ah, so good.

6. N Jones 5. Viney 4. Pedersen (what Roos has done with this guy is amazing) 3. Tyson 2. Howe 1. Watts Vince and Dunn also very good. No love for Dunn? Took some crucial grabs at crucial times and marshalled the backline. Just outside the votes for mine. Big Maxy Gawn also unlucky.

Credit where it's due. His intensity lifted noticably today and he took his opportunities. A very positive step. Now for some consistency. Finally.

Viney is going to be a superstar. I'm out on the sauce celebrating. We're coming back baby.

Nice dive Trent.

I can't believe what I've witnessed in the last 5 minutes with these umpiring decisions.
-
Apparently not. Some of the ones not called could not have been more blatant.
-
Ridiculous Matt Jones. We were smelling Tiger blood there and absolutely gift them one to get back in the game. [censored].
-
Hm, not sure about that mate.

Been around since he arrived at the club as far as I know. I'm not a fan either. Doesn't seem to be used as much these days.
