That bench is pretty heinous. The only chance we have is the Cats already planning their post-game celebrations. We re-wrote the script for Tommy Hafey's tribute. Maybe we can re-write another script, with the help of a miracle or two. At least make them hurt. If you're going to play pigdog, instruct him to line up Selwood at the first bounce and flatten the little [censored].

More stupid than gutsy I would've thought. Danger was the best player on the ground at that point. There's a time for sending a message and that wasn't it. Walsh also threw him forward for a while, during which time the Hawks strolled out of the middle and kicked 2 or 3 unanswered goals.

The two main arguments are the suspense it provides and embracing the things that are unique to the game. I think you also need to be careful about making changes based on freak occurrences like Sunday. Generally there are means to make the players aware and they can respond accordingly. But you're right in that you couldn't explain this logically to an outsider because it really makes no logical sense.

It wasn't exactly a dazzling performance by Hawthorn. The skills on the whole last night were only marginally better than our match against the Saints. There was plenty of opportunity for the Crows to take hold of the game and establish a winning margin but they basically weren't good enough. Once Mitchell, Hodge and Burgoyne retire they will slide. Those three are still extremely influential. The worry for everyone else is that Clarko has done such a brilliant job in setting them up, the slide may not even get down to mid table.

I'm a little disappointed with the level he's produced this season. I expected better and he is capable of better.
