  1. I just see no good coming out of this CONSTANT reference to the past bogging everyone down. It's a self fulfilling prophecy. "I don't want to mention it but..." So don't then. Prefacing your statement with that doesn't make a difference. You're talking about it. Continually. So stop doing it. It's just deflection at this point. Talk about where things went wrong on the weekend and what you're doing to fix them. That's your job. There was a lot of talk pre-season about a greater attacking intent this year. That has been a pretty dismal failure. Why? What are you doing to fix it? Supporters don't meltdown over a loss. They meltdown over a largely non-competitive loss against a fellow developing side. And rightly so. We need to have moved past performances like we saw on the weekend. Roos was asked if the development is real. He used it to bring up the past. Again. It's disappointing.
  2. "The whole club goes into meltdown after a loss" Isn't it a large part of his job to create calm and maintain perspective? I'm not sure what he can say that's any different at this point, but repeating ad nauseum about the weight of the past affecting the whole club is getting really, really tiresome. I like Roosy but I might just stop listening to him for a few weeks, cause it's all sounding pretty hollow and repetitive.
  3. Anyone's guess at the minute. If he's playing well, CHF. This is also Hogan's most natural position, but because Dawes couldn't outmark a leprechaun, Hogan is forced into playing closer to goal. We badly need another key forward.
  4. I'd just like to see I'd like to see McDonald back, Howe forward, with Michie, Vanders and Nibbler in the middle. Players in their most natural positions. It seems to be a lot to ask for.
  5. This x1000 I was leaning towards dropping both but you'd hope they would want to redeem themselves this time around and you can only drop so many "senior" players at one time. Lumumba stays but I have next to no confidence in him right now. Would drop Vanders but as you point out, who replaces him at this point? He just needs to bring that aggression which seems to have gone missing. Fair enough. Saw him named among the best along with his two goals but if his overall output didn't warrant it then he can stay. Was more hopeful that Toump's knock to the head wasn't serious. Salem I thought would be given more game time at Casey but if fit then he's an automatic in. Riley and ANB possibilities but this highlights how much we are scraping the barrel. If McKenzie gets another game we're in strife.
  6. What the hell right? Let's kick this baby off. Unless your name is Jack Viney or Max Gawn, you should have one eye over your shoulder after that pitiful display. A couple of suggestions: Out: Dawes, Harmes In: Jamar, Toumpas/Hunt I'm 100% done with Dawes. He HAS to be dropped surely. If he isn't then he never will be. Leader, role player, blah blah blah. He continually butchers the ball and he needs to go.
  7. There's a better chance of Roosy giving you a call during the week and asking you to strap on the boots. You'd probably do a better job than half of them out there today so here's hoping.
  8. Haven't watched it, but if he cares at all he would be absolutely filthy with that performance.
  9. Give the reigns to Goodwin for 2016. Roos can be the "Director of Coaching" or whatever [censored] title they give to them these days. He'll still get paid. He's happy.
  10. 6. Supporters who attended and stayed til the final siren 5. Supporters who attended and stayed til 3/4 time 4. Supporters who attended and stayed til halftime 3. Supporters who attended and stayed til 1/4 time 2. Supporters who watched on TV and didn't turn it off 1. Supporters who watched on TV for more than 5 minutes
  11. Done for the year most likely. Certainly won't be watching next week. Pies should slaughter us. You can count on one hand the players who are both good enough and care enough, and the game plan is dysfunctional and disgusting to watch. The lot of them can get stuffed. They won't be getting another cent out of me while they play like this.
  12. This will be breaking point for quite a few I think.
  13. How did the Geelong game even happen?
  14. Gonna be quite the spectacle when we play Carlton.
  15. Wow, a holding call that goes our way!!
  16. God this is putrid football.
  17. If you take your eyes off the stat sheet, Watts' decisonmaking and execution has been terrible, and he still tackles like a wet lettuce. Jetta, Grimes, Dunn (mostly), Gawn, Brayshaw and Stretch get pass marks.
  18. Are these umps Saints fans?
  19. Watts is completely useless.
  20. Had absolutely no interest playing back, yet they continue playing him there. Grimes has been decent.
  21. How stagnant do we look going forward. A bunch of statues and it's the 2nd [censored] quarter.
  22. I'm close to turning this garbage off.
  23. Some of this kicking is comical.
