I'm happy to bring in two obvious ins and two strong performers in the VFL. Pedo especially deserves his chance. In: Hogan, Hibberd, Trengove, Pedersen Out: Weeder, Melksham, Bugg, Hannan If Melksham keeps his spot this week I think that's a bad sign. He's not good enough to be a coach's favourite.
-
Questioned the decision at the time and his form certainly hasn't swayed me from that position. It's however a good sign that we could easily be 4-0 with arguably our best mid playing terribly.

Rec drugs is more West Coast's territory. So far more concerning. lol @ all this fuss over having a dart at a music festival.

Signs are looking promising

Extremely sad. A brilliant man. One of the true kings of comedy.

It's obviously disappointing to kick ourselves out of it but the fact is that we bossed that game for two quarters and didn't have enough gas left in the tank to chase a game we should've already locked away. I'd much rather be in our position than the Cats at this point. This is a very exciting side we've assembled. Jones is a star and Hunt was brilliant for most of the day, but special mention should go to Nibbler and Oliver with 8 tackles apiece. It was the defensive pressure that led to so many scoring opportunities. It would be quite funny if Etihad became the ground where we produce our best footy.

I hope they feel like a right pair of dills tonight.

6. Jones 5. Hunt 4. Watts 3. Stretch 2. Neal-Bullen 1. Oliver

9 points down. Should've won this game twice over by now.
-
Couldn't script this.

Jesus this umpiring. Blatant throw.
-
That Watts pick up and goal. I felt movement. Unbelievable game from Hunt so far.
-
At least it gives us a glimpse of what the Australian team would look like in practice.. I'm not sold on going mosquito fleet this week. Watts and Weed as the main targets is not an appealing prospect, particularly with Watts needed around the ground. I'd be happy with Pedo as he can hold a mark and throw his body around. On form it would be Tim Smith. It's big ask for a debutant but he's no spring chicken. Cats aren't much chop. This is 4 points waiting to be taken. Although, after last week, I have returned my confidence to the confidence shop. It was faulty.
-
Not convinced on Melksham. Misses too many easy targets for a relatively senior player. Straight swap for Vince. Won't happen. It'll be someone like Hannan or ANB unfortunately. I'm not much of a Harmes fan but you can't drop him after yesterday's effort. Pedo and Kent in for Hogan and Lewis, suspensions pending. Gus had a poor day but that's the extent of it for me. He'll be right.

6. Salem 5. Garlett 4. Oliver 3. Jetta 2. Jones 1. T McDonald Harmes unlucky. Liked his game.
-
Relief. Midfield decidedly ordinary for most of the day. Overuse of the ball was ridiculous at stages. But we ground it out which is promising, albeit with Docherty doing us a huge favour at the end. Salem and Jeffy were terrific. Jetta and T Mac stood up at important moments. Bank the 4 points. Raise a smile at being 2-0. Look towards a better performance next week. .

Phew.

Viney has been nothing short of awful.
-
Utterly bewildering. I'm never going to be confident going into a game ever again.
-
Carlton flooding their defensive 50 is making it difficult but we also aren't moving the ball fast enough. Some of the old nerves are returning.
-
It's good to see the club add these little touches to embrace the Demon side of the equation, e,.g "Hell's Bells", #raisehell It's fine to brand around ties to the city, but we have the most badass moniker in the league. Embrace it I say.

Richmond are massively in denial though. How you could be chuffed with that win is beyond me. Collingwood couldn't kick straight in front of goal to save themselves. List wise they are in huge strife. Prestia and Caddy are a bandaid for a broken leg.

Overall yes, but both teams' pressure would've accounted comfortably for 2013 Melbourne. That side was wholly non-competitive.
