  1. Good to clear that up. No mention of MN coming onboard as assistant to NB, or news on GW's next move or DT's contract?
  2. Agreed. But so many of the off-field people involved in Jurrah's time at the club are now gone, so suspect he might have to go to the back of the queue, no matter how popular he is amongst the players.
  3. He was a forward. FWIW.
  4. If you can still find any. Currency suspended in 2009. Not looking good for Tapscott then.

    GAME DAY

    Dunn!
  6. Indeed: http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-08-18/demons-president-calls-for-culture-overhaul - also similar report on the Hun site.
  7. His role changed because Walsh left, and Eade is taking up the slack in the Director of Football role.
  8. Anyone know if Toumpas is eligible for VFL finals? Also Gawn and Spencer? Seems that they need at least 6 VFL games - is this the case with these three?
  9. Especially at the moment. Hird has now had 3 years at Essendon, not sure that it's a night and day difference to their time under Knights, especially given that Hird has a better list (outsider's view perhaps ...). Wouldn't be surprised to see Knights get another chance at AFL level if he has the appetite, he's certainly doing well at Geelong.
  10. Guy Jalland. LLB. Lawyer.
  11. That would be "fait accompli" I believe.
  12. A bit of competition in the Great Coach Hunt. Brisbane more Roos' style perhaps?
  13. Hardly even worth replying to ridiculous hyperbole like this, but both Grimes and Trengove had more possessions than Gary "best player in the AFL" Ablett, and across town, they also had more than Nick Maxwell and Kieren Jack (Swans co-captain).
  14. Taggert doesn't deserve a game: "13 disposals as a forward/midfielder is below what he has been delivering in past weeks."
  15. Walking in Darwin? One day. Yep, that explains everything.
  16. Just seems conflicting information leaking out here and there, with little that's concrete. Not sure why Misson made no mention of him (at all) in this week's injury report. Somewhat worrying that that's the case.
  17. Old Dee will be pleased.
  18. Good starting point is high heat, 3 mins or so each side. (Low fat content, so dry out easily.)
  19. Viney, McKenzie, Couch, Magner, Rodan ... not far off being a better centre line-up than what we'll have at Geelong.
  20. Ah, McLardy and Schwab on the front foot again ... ahead of the game.
  21. Another encouraging defeat?
  22. Unfortunately, Casey have a bye this weekend - hope it doesn't push JV's return back a week.
  23. Not exactly going out on a limb there ... it's a bit like saying Rudd or Abbott will be the next PM!
  24. Shane Valenti says hi. As does Pedersen - always stars at this level, but except for occasional flashes, can't put it together consistently at AFL level.
  25. Melbourne chief executive Peter Jackson confirmed Harrington's departure last night. "Tim's departure is not performance related. It reflects the need to reduce the overall cost of the structure," he said. "Tim has worked diligently in his role for more than four years at the club, and I'm certain he will find another productive role in the AFL industry."
