Training 19/4
Sure, but the Essendon game could meet those criteria. (Though I would have thought he'd need at least another week, but what would I know?)

Werribee Tigers v Casey Scorpions - VFL Round 2
Pedersen didn't take a mark all game? His 2 goals look good, but apart from that, i'd be taking Weideman. If we go tall. Of the others, Stretch and Hunt? Maynard maxed DT points behind Mitch King, but not sure he does enough damage at AFL level. But ... stats.

Jordan Lewis Out with Broken Hand
Given that he was named in the bests for 2 out of the 4 rounds, is currently rated in the top 10 on most stats and is in the top handful for possessions, I wish we had a few more players playing as "poorly" as him.

Jordan Lewis Out with Broken Hand
The only person who's kept Jayden Hunt out is Hunt himself.

Jordan Lewis Out with Broken Hand
He was playing with a broken hand.

Injury List - Season 2018
Surely Tom will have a game or two at Casey - he played the first JLT, but match fitness?

Jordan Lewis Out with Broken Hand
He will not come back via Casey.

Changes v Richmond
Not much to argue about here ... the usual suspects under the gun: Frost, Melksham, Bugg, Wagner, Harmes & Jetta (ankle?). Though I'd be surprised if there was much more than Tyson plus 1 - 2 other changes. http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2018-04-16/no-early-calls-needed-after-dismal-day

SHUT UP I'M SICK OF THE NEGATIVITY
Oliver showed his class, Salem continued his steady progress (equal most clearances), Brayshaw was decent and showed his underlying class and hardness in his first game back, O'Mac showed that he's developing into a fine KPD, Jones did a great run-with role on Mitchell, and Fritsch - even though he didn't do much - continued to show that he has footy smarts and talent. Hawthorn were very good today and if they play like anything close to that all year, they'll go a long way. Thank god Burgoyne was out ...

Changes v Richmond
Both a shadow of themselves at their best, not sure if they live to fight another day.

Roos: "They’re so easy to score against"
Sure, but that's about all we had under Roos (not entirely Roos' fault either). Everyone was wrapped when we finally started attacking a bit more in Roos' last year and put it down to Goodwin's influence and "can't wait till Goody takes over" etc. etc.

Changes v Richmond
Yes, especially as Jones was busy with Mitchell. But Salem was OK - as many clearances as Oliver. Really missing Viney.

Changes v Richmond
Tyson and Hunt in. For the rest, don't believe it actually matters all that much. We didn't lose today because we chose player X over player Y.

Post Match Discussion - Round 4
Hawthorn have 16 players over 100 games. Or to put it another way, take off our 3 old-timers and we have 5. They have 13, most of whom were out there today. Most of our players are in the 3-5 season range, but when Nathan Jones was in his 5th season, people here were still calling for him to be dropped. We (they) have a LONG way to go.

Post Match Discussion - Round 4
That's where the problems start. We don't, we really don't. We have a lot of potential talent, but that's about it at the moment. If we end up with even a single AA player this year, I'll be surprised. For me, I think we're a couple of years away from being a really solid side that can push into finals, and I think today showed it. I thought Salem was decent today - it's his 50th game. If you take away the 3 senior citizens, we only have 5 players who've played over 100 games. Five. The meat and potatoes of our list is in the 30 - 60 game bracket, and no matter how much talent you have, it's experience that counts (if not, GWS would have started winning flags years ago). I do think though that we're missing Viney and Tom Mac much more than we realise.

Injury List - Season 2018
Latest update. Progressing nicely, but McKenna "setback". Wonder if we'll ever see him in the red and blue. Sounds like Tom Mac is a bit ahead of Viney. http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2018-04-10/viney-mcdonald-continue-to-progress

Name 3 good things
- we were able to steady and turn the game around - the new-look backline improved as the game went on - Max's mark in the dying moments. A bit lost in focusing on the kick that followed, but was massive.
