Jack Trengove is without doubt going to be a star of the game. The guy is smart, fast, poised and skilful. Nothing I saw today led me to believe that he will not make the grade.

Maybe I have been harsh on Sydney.

The franchise did not reflect the rich history of a proud club. This was a HUGE mistake on behalf of the AFL and if they had better foresight i think they would have started two South Australian teams at the same time.

I will be there. Haven't been to Casey at all yet.

I've just been over at bigfooty listening to muppets giving Essendon/Carlton/North/ and for god's sake RICHMOND a chance of making the finals. I'd be interested to see where fellow demonlanders think all sides will finish this year. Below is my prediction with accompanying comments. After looking at all of the weaker sides i really believe we can win 8+ games. There is a HUGE gap between the strong and weak clubs. Western Bulldogs - If they are going to win a premiership, this year has to be it. Geelong - Will still be incredibly strong. Collingwood -Will fail in the preliminary final again... i hope. St Kilda - Will fall back a bit this year. Hawthorn - Will improve on a poor 2009 but will still struggle to match the top 2. Brisbane - Hard to look past that forward line. Adelaide - Every year i think they look good for a flag, this year they just will not trouble the best sides. West Coast - I had to fit 8 teams in the top 8 obviously and i couldn't/didn't want to see Carlton or Essendon making it. Carlton - With no Fev in the square are going to be on the end of some heavy losses from the top 6. Essendon - Are going to take a step back this year as youngsters are now exposed to full attention from good sides. Melbourne - May be biased but i think we are capable of beating all sides below us. Sydney - On the slide. North Melbourne - Are on par in terms of rebuild with us, but don't have the war chest that we possess. Port Adelaide - In rebuild phase but just haven't had the picks to make it happen. Fremantle - IMO are 2 years behind us in rebuild. Richmond - Are in the worst shape of any club and the light at the end of the tunnel is light years away.

After picking 4 midfielders with the first 4 picks.... you'd have to guess we will be taking Thorpe late in the draft.

Yes, finally the day is here. 1 and 2 are a lock so i am looking forward to seeing who we go for at picks 11 and 18. I hope we can get either Talia or Black at 11 and Ball at 18. Exciting times!

I'd be very keen to get hold of Mitch Thorp with a VERY late pick in the National Draft. Put it this way..... we could get rid of a CERTAIN dud in Newton and bring in an untried key position forward who has been unlucky in being drafted to a club that managed to also pick up 2 of the best forwards in the competition at the same time.

Don't think Cheney will go.... i think he showed a bit. Paul Johnson will not go as Meesen and Spencer will be gone long before he. I think Bell, Bartam and/or Mcnamara.

I think both guys are stiff and knowing them personally they will both be quite disappointed HOWEVER this club is bigger than the players (see Robbo) that are fortunate enough to represent this great club. We HAVE to make room for 4 or 5 possible new draftees and 1 from the PSD. Does anyone know how Daniel Bell has managed to keep a spot on the list? Is he still contracted or something? He will not make the side next year..... why keep him?

I hope Buckley does not go. I think he has something to offer when fit. His ball carrying impressed me early on in 2008.

Well when that said pick 12 and Lachie "Never heard of him" Henderson kick 70+ between them next year i will agree with you.

Carlton have been royally pantsed in this trade.... Traded a 70+ a year goalkicker in his prime for an unproven 19 year old and pick 12. I don't really care but i am just glad he didn't get to Collingwood. Carlton cannot and will not make finals next year.

Honestly, what do Carlton see in Daniel Bell? The guy is just not up to AFL standard.... if we get pick 100 for him i will be happy. I'd think he would be delisted if not picked up by Carlton as we need the space for our picks.

In regards to drafting Shane Tuck...... no. As much as i like the way he plays he is an average at best player and would only be holding back a young player (of which we have plenty) from getting valuable game experience.

I'm just glad that he didn't go to Collingwood... that would have been a tragedy. I don't mind him going to Brisbane..... Rischitelli is above average at best and Bradshaw has 1 - 3 years left in him so i don't think Carlton necessarily win out here. How do you think Mclean and Rischitelli will fit in the same side next year? Can't really see it happening.
