Maybe the players saw the dark days he had. I mean they were the ones that were around him every day. Look im not thrilled with the way Mitch left but I know about depression and seeing close ones go through it. It isnt great. You dont just get over it in a few months. But I will now unfollow him on twitter and also chip as well and will move on and look forward to next year. At least we still have 2 tall forwards to kick the ball to.

Jack Trengove re-injures his navicular (2014) - trade deal off
dees189227 replied to Wiseblood's topic in Melbourne Demons
this feels like when we decided to trade woey. I was shattered and that 1st qb game when he was running around in a pies jumper was horrible. But slowly we all moved on. but when i saw the headline in the paper today i didnt like it. But the club seem to have a clear plan so I trust them. But if trenners does go then surely this serves as a warning to the team. -
Stevo mentioned tonight on 7 dont discount melbourne going after beams and may involve there pick 3. No way should we do that. I just know he will want to go back home.

i could handle trenners moving to Adelaide more than richmond. At least his family is in Adelaide. Beams would be to much like the clark scenario and if we got him id fear he'd leave us like Mitch has and he'd walk out on us after a couple of years to go back to brisbane. -
i agree. Beams doesnt want to stay in melbourne. It will be interesting to see what happens next. Does he play with the pies for 1 more year then walk or does he have a year out.

wow a year ago if you said gartlett would be at melbourne and trenners wouldnt I would have said no way. Next week will be interesting. I wonder if roosy will chat to trengove this weekend. also would goodwin have an input into this? -

so in the herald sun today they had a potential r1 line up if players are banned. So you could guess the missing names have notices. I noticed fletcher isnt there. Seriously I thought he'd be smarter than that. But I guess his mate told him they are fine. -

im not sure how i feel about this. I mean the guy hasnt played like a pick 2 and has been injured and we arent sure if we will ever see his potential but Id hate to see him in a richmond jumper next year. It sounds like he doesnt want to go. If othewr things are happening I wonder if watts is being shopped around as well. Roosy did say every player is tradeable. gosh just when we were talking today about our club being steady. Maybe we spoke to soon. -
Brendan McCartney no longer coach of the Doggies
dees189227 replied to beelzebub's topic in Melbourne Demons
it seems these days you cant say anything negative to the players. Also if Griffen didnt want to be captain then say you dont want the responsibility. I feel sorry for Brendan. Gosh want an off season with coaches getting sacked. For once im relieved we are stable and know what is happening for the next 5 years. -
no, because he wants to get out of melbourne. not going to happen

so apparently winderlich will stay at essendon. My god that guy cannot make his mind up. First he retires, then says he will play on, then wants a trade to richmond or he will retire now will probably stay at essendon. Wither he is very confused or he cant say no to the golden boy. -
AFL involved in Port Adelaide/Essendon Draft Rort
dees189227 replied to deanox's topic in Melbourne Demons
Excuse me this may sound dumb but I thought ryder could use the clause in his contract about wellness and care or something like that to get out of there. anyway apparently he has done an interview that will be in the herald sun tomorrow according to ralphy. I guess he will spill his guts and maybe essendon will get the picture he doesnt want to be there. Big day of news gets bigger tomorrow as Paddy Ryder sits down with @gullanHeraldSun to discuss his 20-month torment. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JEFF GARLETT
dees189227 replied to Demon3's topic in Melbourne Demons
Essendon was also in the race to land Garlett, but he ultimately chose the Demons after meeting with the club's senior players and coach Paul Roos' desire to add him to the forward line. good decision -
well it likely they face geelong r1. He will either be on hawkins who just rag dolls him or Mitch who we know is a very good mark and a big man. But he will play finals next year and thats what players aim to do.

he is very skinny, but he has good pace and if he stays out of trouble and doesnt hang around with his mate mitch as much and gets into the hard work then Id have him. I trust Roosy and his choices. -

i think that someone should tell james, ryder doesnt want to be at essendon and you cant convince him to stay. -
if anyone boos chip next year then dont. Show him we dont care he left and we dont miss him. But also dont boo him because we get pick 3 for losing him and that is a great thing.

ok im confused with this Winderlich one. he retired then hird met with him and convinced him to play on. now he wants out? oh god this just gets funnier. I hope its true. This would put a dagger into bombers fans even more. -

how about the CEO just injecting himself with a tanning drug. Geez did they all line up for a go? It also seems Gerard Whateley may have jumped sides. He seemed to be on team hird maybe his mate Robbo influenced him but it was a good article in todays herald sun. But naughty boy James driving away without putting your seatbelt on. -
