THE MOST AWESOME POST MATCH THREAD EVER!!!
dees189227 replied to red and blue forever's topic in Melbourne Demons
Wow I went today just hoping we could compete. Did not see that coming especially after last weeks shocking game that we just won. Wow that last quarter was just so exciting and to see just how happy all the supporters were and the big smiles on the players faces when they were walking around the boundary was awesome. So many highlights. Max- Just love him. A shame he couldnt finish off with that goal but was brilliant all day. Especially his intercept marks in the backline Jones- Brilliant game and people questioned him last week but he is our man Viney career high 39 possies and just goes in hard, times I wish he just kicked it instead of looking for the hand pass but what a champion Weiderman- Nice debut- Looks good when kicking for goal and had a few goal assists. Watts- thought he set the game up with his first half 3 goals. Just a beautiful user of the ball anyway cant go through them all but happy to see Stretch play well and Oliver getting back up on his feet after Cyril smashed him also kudos to Pedo. Good replacement for Hogan and thought he was handy today. Took some nice grabs and kicked a nice goal. Anyway just really happy and hope we can go on with it next week. Both McDonald boys were also good. I saw this on twitter. Is this true? Great to see Garry Lyon in the Melbourne rooms before the game. Apparently delivered an emotional pre-game speech -
If we beat Hawthorn, I will.....

still ask why we cannot beat the saints and why we lost to essendon -
Well we would want to play 100 times better than last week. Looking forward to seeing what Sam can do in his debut game. I doubt Hogan will play but hope he does. There backline could just crush our young forward line. But all I wnat to see is competitiveness.

Tonight, @melbournefc coach Paul Roos makes his final #OnTheCouch appearance as a coach! Don't have Foxtel so any info on what he says would be handy to read. Guess he will speak about Watts's game yesterday.
-
Well id rather wake up tomorrow a melbourne supporter than a richmond one. Well I just went today thinking we would just win. Even in those dying moments I knew we'd find a way to win. But firstly Watts what a champion. Brilliant game and just stood up especially when he was needed at the end. Finally this season we have seen what he is supposed to become. Thought Tyson was good when other midfielders struggled. Vanders bobbed up with some nice goals Harmes was ok and took a courageous mark. http://www.afl.com.au/video/2016-07-31/courageous-dee-put-in-harmes-way Anyway we have won our 8th game more than last year and wake up tomorrow reading about a win than a loss.

Every time that ad comes on my mum mutes the tv or leaves the room. That girl very irritating. Rhys Stanley 4 goals. Might be hard for Mitch to get back into that forward line.
-
It's actually been a great first quarter to watch. Plenty of goals and seems to be free flowing
-
Wow looks like the saints will beat the doggies. There superstar recruit Boyd has 1 behind. Sorry I hate when the young ones cop it and who wouldnt take that offer but with no Stringer Boyd had to step up.
-
just looking at the stats watts and hogan seem to be quiet.
-
So Dank got a shot he didn't want. Amazing how things catch up with you
-
Im not even going anywhere to watch it. Is it just me or since its now harder to make the finals that I don't have the same care now. I will still go to the games in melbourne but because the last 10 years we haven't achieved much I feel like the end of the season just cant come quick enough. I will be happy if its under 50 points today.

The Jesse Hogan Panic Room - all contract talk here
dees189227 replied to Grapeviney's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's ridiculous that he is playing in Perth this weekend for his footy team that he is employed with and has a job to do and the media find this a reason to say he is back home in Perth and bring up the contract stuff again. -
In a strange sort of way I wouldn't be to disappointed if the pies got up. I don't know why but this Nth downfall has been funny. I mean Nth area team that have struggled in the past with finances and on the field and the AFL tried to re locate them but for some reason they just bug me. Maybe it's because we can't beat them or Brad Scott annoys me the way he just rips into officials and umpires. I don't know. But I don't like the pies either. Maybe it's Lindsay Thomas as well who I don't really like either.

Maybe they will have a draw. But if that rabble of a team called Brisbane beat them it's more embarrassing for us I reckon.

Before dying of shock, I would be surprised then ask how come that happened but we cant beat the saints or essendon

Seriously we had to get the ball forward. If that goal was kicked it it would have flattened us and undo all our good work. Interesting on mmm Goodwin said about Brayshaw earlier in the season he was told to lose some weight as he put some on. they went though his diet and found out he was on the soft drink.
-
Thank god I didnt waste my money today. Goodwin has 3 important jobs next year. Beat Nth, beat the saints and start winning at Etihad.
-
Dont blame the Darwin games. We just cannot beat the saints. What the hell are WC going to do to us in Perth next week?
-
Someone kick a goal. Saints have just lifted there intensity we have dropped off since 1/4 time.
-
Christ 7 goals in a row to the saints. Where are our leaders. Lift people Membrey killed us last time.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 17
dees189227 replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Geez I reckon young Stretch us a bit unlucky. But good to see Gus back. Hope he gets through the game and please no more head knocks. But I hope we aren't to affected from last weeks game in Darwin and can run out the game. -
A great season he has had so far and a valuable goal kicker. Good news.
-
What a cracker of a game. We finally get a decent game on a thursday. I really don't care of the hawks win. I mean I admire Clarko and his coaching. He just proves you don't have to be a superstar player to be a great coach. Unlike 1 who thought he could just strut in and succeed. Turd I'm talking about. If that was us that was so successful we would be loving it. But yes agree with some of the free kicks. I mean Mitchell charges his head forward and the ump falls for it. But Aliir has done some nice things and taken some courageous marks. Game on.
