  1. ....And After it became a distraction on and off the field he showed faith in the club and got a deal done so the focus could be on his footy instead on the story has been about will he stay will he go. They already knew how this would play out this is exactly the same as the Ablett saga. Smacks of individual putting himself before his team. There comes a point when speculation starts to create damage while it suffices for some that the situation remains unchanged. All that free space for speculation gets filled by someone and for purely narcissistic reasons its continued. If by some strange quirk he signs on ill eat all the humble pie I can but I cant see so many reading the situation so incorrectly.
  2. I can't see the result being anything else but him going. Sure the rank and file believers will trudge out he only made his mind up post season I expect there to be even blame towards people who think he's gone for contributing to him going. I don't profess to know for sure but any salient person balancing probabilities can read the writing on the wall. Jim said it best when he said that this situation would cause young men to lie to their clubs. Worse part of all this is the slow burn and how it seems to have caused unrest.
  3. It's a natural cycle teams are up teams are down look at where Brisbane is now after they dominated for half a decade. They call it tanking, it's a sexy media word for player management. There is 3 phases a side can be in In the hunt - premiership contenders (should be able to win at least one final guaranteed) Coll, Geel, Hawth, Carl, WCE Bottoming out - List clean out required (need to rebuild overhaul the list) Bris, Port, Adel, WestBull There abouts - Mixture of holding contending and rebuilding. This is where the majority of lists sit. If your bottoming out you have to know what you've got playing players out of position to find out if their adaptable is essential. I'm not concerned with tanking its obvious where list are if your stupid enough to waste money gambling more full you. I'm for an as even competition as quickly as possible for everyone. Look at players lost to these new franchises it has only been under performing sides that have lost players further diluting their talent If you want a competition rather than a farce the priority pick must stay. Remember you have to be crap for 2 years to receive any significant advantage.
  4. That's the problem with this joint To many players relying on credentials rather than guts. The only footballer we recruited last was Howe. Sick of trying to turn athletes into footballers.
  5. Can no longer see the light at the end of the tunnel Absolutely cooked.
  6. Hope that Gary has come in and asked exactly what his intentions are This saga parodies the entire club Too much shirking the contest
  7. Unfortunately they have seen fit to dish us up a 186 point loss and practically destroy any respect MFC had. I think it might be fair chance that their strategy to date has been an abject failure. What"s more stupid? Asking a guy which side he stands or 186 point losses
  8. Yep it's truth time. No more hiding we have been stripped naked back to our bones We were humiliated on every level we are the punch line of the competition we are a joke There are people at this club who are part of the future or they're part of the problem If the club doesn't want them then reversely they should be told they will be traded or delisted. No more festering underbelly, under performance or acceptance of mediocrity
  9. You are living in the land of fantasy if you think Scully saga hasn't in some way contributed to the 186 point loss.
  10. Would if I could but I wont get a straight answer I did I'd be fobbed off. I wouldn't call I'd eyeball him and say he owes it to all the jibbed members who had to put up with 186 points of shame I wont get the opportunity. but it doesn't mean I cant ask the club I support through my membership I buy to do it on my behalf Especially when club unity has been decimated. I really fail to see how a 2nd year player contributing to disunity by grandstanding is a laughing matter when your bloody club just got poleaxed by 186 points and was left with no identity again... Really cant see how that's funny at all. You seriously don't think Adelaide's worse off by knowing whether Davis is committed or not.
  11. He's a smart kid fair chance he knows what he's doing already.
  12. Not what's being reported The entire Adelaide playing group had a meeting after the sacking of Neil Craig said your either with us or you can [censored] off. Phill said he was out, on his way to GWS. The said announce it or we will. Everyone finally knows where they stand
  13. Seemed to be good enough for Adelaide
  14. We all know the rumblings Personally I think Scully is gone but this isn't the thread for philosophising his motivations is he isn't he. The landscape has changed. Why - 186 points it's changed the fundamentals of everything. Everyone needs to be on the same page we've seen where self interest gets us - 186 point losses If Leading Teams is ever going to work it's now sit Scully out the front and give him the hard word he's either on board or he has a Phil Davis press. The same with all the other yet to get on board. Tell us now if your going to work for the jumper get our bloody pride back or [censored] off. Your either part of the solution going forward or your part of the festering underbelly at our club and your gone. What's the consensus Ultimatum time or not.
  15. What is this conspiracy that got the playing group so offside What is this massive issue that's festered.
  16. that is some of the most convoluted circumstances I've ever heard
  17. Can someone provide a summary of the discussions
  18. Honestly nobody is privy to the inner machinations of the club and whether there was a presumed conflict that caused a player revolt we will never know unless we are told. Look forward to 15 years time when there are some autobiographies about this period.
  19. why is it that I feel I'm back in 2007 again The custodians of our club (players) showed how soft their underbelly is and personally how much I'd overrated our list. They cost a good man his job hopefully this wakes them up and they finally stop all this talk and actually show some heart. And Dean class act all the way thanks for all you've done.
  20. MFC players have failed their coach through pathetic self interest and preservation Players have cost a guy his job This is a dark dark day in our history
  21. SEN has run with the news he has been sacked. Also trending very strongly on twitter that he's been told services no longer required. In a lot of respects I feel sorry for him hope the players hold their heads in shame. They just cost a guy his job.
  22. Heat of the moment. It was hurting pretty bad last night and made a bad over reaction I take it back.
  23. I blame Leading Teams Hierarchy is a natural form of organisation This circular philosophy of Leading teams where everyone has input delivers captains, leadership groups and cultures like the one we currently have. Too much self involvement and self protection nobody with the balls to take charge and lead. in case they get criticised. By the playing group and given their open criticism to change the way they go about it cause they ruffle feathers. Leading Teams philosophy creates voids of leadership its pop psychology [censored]. Players need to be told what to do when to do it and how and if they don't follow they get told to jump. All this feedback this feedback that you give the leadership over to the players this is what you get total self interest and preservation caring only about popular opinion.
  24. It was over the top last night rest assured I didn't return my scarf/membership. 186 points you just got to wonder when we see any sort of success.
