  1. just think that type of thing is garbage, he has coaches already, he knows he has to play with passion and play to get hurt if he is ever going to be any good. He doesn't need that [censored] pontificating at him, he ust needs to HTFU and sooner rather than later please
  2. I mentioned what about who? Mentoring pfffft just sit down and have a nice chat with Derm and I'm sure he'll be as hard as nails and kicking bags in no time, what a joke
  3. what's he going to teach him? how to perm his hair and just be a tossbag in general
  4. Watts, Blease and Strauss That draft is paying off massively
  5. some people need a reminder that we did actually beat Brisbane. In past years we would drop games like that, but even though we were shizen we secured the points. That's progress... and mind you we didn't switch on at the start and got 5 goals behind. After that we thumped them. In the Hawks game we were bad, but at least for one quarter we flogged a premiership contender. We could well beat GC, WC, and the crows at home and be sitting on 4.5/1.5! I'm really not sure what the naysayers are so upset about.
  6. Don't know about that, if you are a certain height and have any sort of space on your opponent, as long as your teammate puts it somewhere near your outstretched hands, it is almost impossible for a defender to spoil the mark because touching the arms, the back, or even taking his eye off the ball will gift the forward a free kick
  7. I detect a faint whiff of BS in the air too Praccy matches 'yeah he might be out' Day before Round 1 'yeah he's out for 4 weeks' Three weeks later 'that'll be another six' someone's talking 5hit
  8. excuse me I am going to go and smash something FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
  9. regardless of who else they recruit, there is no way they will be a preferable option to us for Scully, talking purely in terms of which side is going to be the better on-field unit. Everything else, his family, profile etc it's all in our favour, every little thing. It just comes down to money. Will they outbid us by so much he won't be able to refuse selling out. That's the only factor in play
  10. how do you know? and who cares? i'd rather have a good footballer than a cleancut good boy thankyouverymuch maybe I missed all the flags we've won lately with our choir boy culture ps Brent Moloney?
  11. we could easy drop this match, but yes, we should be right we'll be 2.5 out of 4, not bad at all a few things give me some confidence about the year thus far: -the likes of Bail, Martin, Jurrah, Moloney,Tapscott and Gysberts have stepped up a notch already -many others are playing way beneath themselves and should improve, with Scull and Jordie to come back -we have played brilliant footy for a few quarters, all we have to do is string it together I think we'll be sitting in a pretty nice position, with a solid 22 and on the edge of the 8 for most of the year
  12. hang on I thought they were both due back after the bye?
  13. yeah but to what extent does it actually affect how good you are on a footy field? people make way too much out of this sort of thing, why do you know your body fat % fcs
  14. you know you can watch full match replays on the AFL website?
  15. Did it ever occur to you that as a club we lack the ability to take our players from 'talented kid' to 'established senior performer'
  16. i wouldnt give a man those labels until he consistently has a large influence on matches over several years obviously Jurrah isn't there yet but I am almost certain he will be
  17. would take me about a tenth of a second to swap Hurley for Watts
  18. The Jurrahmirri effect, it is wonderful to behold
  19. done by a tonne in round one and two, yep that was 'challenging'
  20. Everyone else in the comp came through with benefit of being part of elite junior sides with their coaches and facilities, not Jurrah, he didn't even put on a pair of boots until he was 17. He has played 20 games, including an extensive injury setback that slowed him down, and has kicked 50 goals. How many have ever even done that in their first 20? Furthermore he was in a shizen side most of the time! Every time he goes near it everyone just knows anything can happen, and even when he has a bad day he still manages a couple. Imagine when this side hits full gear and he is a 4th/5th/6th year player in his prime, with tons of quality ball headed at him every week. Already to me he looks like he will snag 60 this year easily, I reckon his first huge bag of 8 or more is going to happen any day now, possibly this week. so the question is: how good do you think he will eventually get? Who or what can stop him?
  21. Could have done us a favour Could make Beamer a better leader and player and could have shone a light on something at our club that is not up to scratch
  22. hey dl we are trying to win the match
