  1. what would be fantastic is if he actually played one good game
  2. the problem with this thread is that it exists purely because of one half of one match let me ask you, roost it, did you consider making this thread in the days after any pf these matches last year? 2 MCG 16 4.5 6.6 9.11 12.13 (85) 5 Collingwood 2.2 7.5 10.10 12.14 (86) Lost -1 4 MCG 11 8.1 8.7 15.11 20.13 (133) 16 Richmond 5.2 7.7 7.9 11.12 (78) Won 55 5 MCG 9 4.2 9.6 12.7 15.13 (103) 2 Bris Lions 2.3 3.6 7.9 7.11 (53) Won 50 7 MCG 10 0.6 3.9 7.10 9.12 (66) 8 W Bulldogs 3.2 5.5 8.7 10.10 (70) Lost -4 9 Mar 11 5.2 9.6 14.7 17.9 (111) 8 Port Adel 3.3 7.6 8.10 16.14 (110) Won 1 12 MCG 13 3.2 6.3 7.8 11.10 (76) 2 Collingwood 4.8 5.10 6.19 9.22 (76) Drawn 0 16 Sub 11 1.2 3.5 9.8 10.11 (71) 4 Fremantle 6.3 9.8 10.10 11.16 (82) Lost -11 17 MCG 11 8.2 12.4 20.8 22.10 (142) 6 Sydney 2.1 4.4 6.6 10.9 (69) Won 73 20 MCG 10 4.1 8.1 11.3 12.6 (78) 8 Hawthorn 4.1 8.4 12.7 15.9 (99) Lost -21
  3. The reason for this is that you don't take the Lord's name in vain
  4. wtf is that supposed to mean he can keep his 'concerns' to himself
  5. after the smorgasbord of shizen that was served up yesterday, I doubt many are under the illusion that it is
  6. Doesn't make sense. Absolute worst strategy possible for trying to keep a young gun
  7. fair enough answer, but you know as well as I do the Nath Jones approval meter has gone from 90% to 10% since his first couple of years. He is but one example. We can't develop players at this club and nobody seems to mention it. Bruce, Neitz, Yze, White, McDonald, Johnstone, Robertson, McLean, Davey, Sylvia, Moloney, Green, Jamar.. all decent servants but not an A-grader among them. Everyone else that has been on our list is just an also-ran and that's over 10 years of players. Morton and Grimes in their fourth years now, how are they travelling? They're going OK but are they going to be stars of the comp? Frawley might be the exception but he has just one fine year to his name so far, so I won't be claiming that just yet. Reading the comments lately it's Tapscott and Scully that are going to save us, as if some reason the pattern will be broken. Schwab told us that for the first time we can look our players in the eye and tell them they have equal resources that their opponents do. Is this the answer? For the life of me I can never work out why nobody will touch this issue
  8. 2007-2009 we got 10 players in the top 21 of the draft plus Jurrah and McKenzie, I think we are behind the 8 ball
  9. it's bad though isn't it we wet our collective pants over Bate, Bartram, McLean, a million others, but we as a club demonstrate a continued inability to develop any talented kid into an A-grade senior player Morton and Watts FCS what raw talent, how would they be going at Collingwood?
  10. Collingwood's back-to-back flags say hi
  11. fast forward a couple of years to 'Luke Tapscott - Absolute Liability' i am over getting excited by brand new players, none of them ever become stars at this club and then we turn on them for it Nathan Jones was very popular early
  12. i am a fair Watts basher but he stood tall with 3 or 4 Hawks all over his back yesterday and he held the mark. Did some other good things in the first half, but in the second his teammates gave him squat
  13. we take a couple of convincing, steadying wins against Brissy and GC. Then we have a bye. Green says 2 weeks for Scully, get back Morton, Wonnaeamirri. Head over to WCE on 2.5 wins 1.5 losses. No need to panic.
  14. and look how much room there is on the Jack Grimes bandwagon all of a sudden someone even had a go at Jurrah FCS
  15. how quickly does Moloney become a hack, last week was unanimously considered BOG most of you are staggeringly fickle
  16. I can't believe how short your memory is LAST YEAR we finished 1 point down on the premiers after 2 games we beat the swans by 70+ points could have easily have had 13-14 wins on the board and played finals who do you think was coaching then?
  17. oh really, I seem to remember being a point down at quarter time and 3 goals up at half time. losing the last qtr by 2 goals isn't a disgrace is it? we were outplayed badly for about 40 minutes and that's all, unfortunately it was so bad it cost us about 10 goals
  18. nice one as long as we're talking positives how about this i50s 75 - 35 goals 16 - 12 that means we scored a goal 34% of the times we entered vs their 21% there is a fair bit of shizen being spoken about 'how lucky we were' nevermind they took a huge number of ambitious shots at goal and heaps were rushed through. At the end of the day it's goals that matter and we only finished 4 down to a very good side we played one weak, gutless, idiotic quarter, the rest of the day we were not bad, and it was in fact US who did the arsekicking in the 2nd i don't care how young they are, Scullly and Jordie are very important and we will instantly look better when they return chins up people
  19. just had a flashback to about 5 years ago. The likes of White, Yze and Bruce were our senior group of regular underperformers in big games. The consolation posts read 'don't worry, we have a soft b-grade group right now, but the NEXT group, lead by Sylvia and McLean will be harder and play with more heart. So now we look to Scully and Trengove do we?
  20. OUCH i think I buried that one in the deepest recesses of my memory thanks Ferg
  21. Sunday 3 April Summary Min 11 Max 19 Shower or two. Metropolitan area Cloudy. Isolated showers. Winds west to southwesterly averaging up to 30 km/h tending south to southwesterly up to 20 km/h later in the evening.
  22. i'll see that and raise you a 'Collingwood stuffs up paperwork and allows Liam Jurrah to go to the PSD' or Lethal Leigh and Brett Ratten giving up first round draft picks for Johnstone and McLean
  23. this is a hideous post, a blight on the kids' character and just totally absurd
