  1. NEWS @ DRAFT CAMP RE McLean- it was told to me that originally MFC wanted pick 11 & pick 27 for McLean & pick 34.Therefore, Carlton may not be stalling in -we may still be demanding this change- however, it was strongly thought pick 11 would end up being the exchange. Furthermore, the picks as at start of trade week were ashttp://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/85726/default.aspx.
  2. 2.35pm: LIONS coach Michael Voss has said Tigers defender Andrew Raines will move to Brisbane. Richmond gets the Lions' third-round pick.
  3. Very interesting that on our MFC site- it refers that MFC would be looking for a replacement. That, to me, infers that the MFC is controlling Casey. refer http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/newsart...06/default.aspx
  4. HAWTHORN GAIN GIBSON & PICK 69 NORTH GETS PICKS 25 & 41 .
  5. Talk this morning is he will drop out the top 10. If this is so, MFC can consider him for pick 11.
  6. I sincerely hope it is true that we keep him. His toughness and bulk will be needed around this skillful young immature forward line.
  7. The first sign offs have been done with The Swans - having secured West Coast ruckman Mark Seaby in a complicated three-way trade involving Amon Buchanan - who will go to Brisbane, and another Eagle Brent Staker, who will also join the Lions. Lion Bradd Dalziell will join the Eagles, while Brisbane will send a draft pick that will end up with the Eagles in the exchange. These just need registering after 10am. The deal re Brock McLean to Carlton for pick 11 is on.
  8. THKS GOOD MAN FOR KEEPING US UP TO DATE
  9. Another ruckman bites the dust with the announcement of Robert Campbell from Hawthorn, shows how important big men are to football clubs and their worth http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tab...83/default.aspx
  10. With the conclusion of draft camp and moving onto trade week. Thought this may be of interest as to how MFC is thinking about the upcoming draft. The number of smalls invited to the camp reflects how few tall prospects are worthy in this year’s draft pool, with just three of the eight ruckmen measuring over 198cm. Melbourne recruiting manager Barry Prendergast, said as long as players can kick, think, run and compete, then they are in with a chance, no matter their height. West Coast’s 2006 premiership team included Ben Cousins, Daniel Kerr, David Wirrpanda and Michael Braun, who were all under 180cm. “We’re a lot more open-minded these days about who we pick,” Prendergast said. “Kicking has always been important but there’s such a huge premium placed on it now. If you had a choice, you’d take the bloke who’s two or three centimetres shorter but has better kicking skills. “You look at how important small forwards and their pressure are these days. Every team needs one now and clubs are almost running around with two, which means you need to find players to match up on them.” SOURCE: http://www.footygoss.com/index.php/main/cl...o_hit_the_draft
  11. Is he also part owner of the runner up in the Turbull-raced in red & blue-Predatory Pricer .We have had a guest predatory trader on today.
  12. After the scare of tracker saying that Jamar was going to Port- I think we do not need Jolly any longer - leave him to the Collee wobbles.
  13. That to me is bad news to have a galah on our site (a so called guest - giving us crap- like Whispering Jack, I thought this may be true based on papertalk that Jamar wanted to go back and early on Rivers was looked upon as possible trade bait. The only thing that really concerned me was the possibility of gaining Westoff. I did not think he was right for our forward line- to me we need to get a big bodied bloke up there. All we need to do know- is recruit young players well, replace the ones left from our coachin ranks , be positive and move on Thanks Tracker for a worrying day
  14. y because Frazer is always injured- Woods not up to it yet- Jolly most improved big man around
  15. Hi KC- Please inform us if there was mention of German & Lees leaving and furthermore please keep us informed of any changes at Casey
  16. Believe it - they are great mates. Both could be a good get.
  17. Ruckman seem to go to their early 30's- I think Jolly would last till we had a window of opportunity, that is, within 5 years. He then would be around the same age as Steven King. With the possibility of Jamar going, we need a top ruckman. I think he would be ideal.
  18. If we could not get TEMEL, Dawes is the ideal type we need to balance our forward line. We need a strong type whom can play a KP role yet roam somewhat. Also can break packs. The only concern ,I have unlike TEMEL, he doesn't seem to be major goal kicker-only kicked 10 goals from 10 games.
  19. Jack is a really nice fella whom showed his dedication to football by attending all finals as a spectator. Needs to get into the gym as he is so light it is incredable. As we know has speed ,good kick but badly lacks stamina is my summation.I feel he will go late 3rd or early 4th round.I'd prefer Gawn if we indeed go for ruckman type. This will depend on trade week - that is if we trade Johnson or Jamar.
  20. Jolly was born on the 6/11/81 making him 27. Right in his prime years- as I think 26 to 30 are the years tall maximise their abilities.
  21. Collingwood has made Darren Jolly an offer- http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/pies...f-1225782324014 I think he should have never been let go in the first place. One of Daniher's major blunders. What do you think?
  22. The first picked whether at 11 or beyond should be SerhatTemel. No doubt he is the best, with the most upside. Kicked 53 goals from the forward line- not always at full forward over around 14 games as spent the most part of early 2009 at CHB. Kicked 22 goals from 4 finals. We need a big strong athletic forward to go with our others. Has thebuild to be a sensational player. Also please note he did not a pre season last year. Second would be Jack Fitzpatrick(whom also was absent in doing a pre season) These two players suit - the WHAT DO WE NEED NOW slot and they will fit the bill.
