As stated in my Communication Network topic- it was reported today on SEN that he has injured his ankle and will not be available for at least 8 weeks
-
In revisiting one of my earlier topics due to the lack of information our MFC is giving us re our training, injuries etc. and the progress of the likes such as Blease, Garland,I'd like your thoughts.. This is also been highlighted with the rumour that Strauss has broken his arm and today I heard on SEN( Kevin Bartlett) that Thorp is injured and will miss at least 8 weeks. I now doubt that we or anyone will pick him up- but gee I think we should be told by our own website. We as members deserve to be updated. I'm very disappointed that after 6 weeks of training we are no wiser, except for the great work of Demonlanders or Ologists. I'm aware that Whispering Jack & George from the Outer will soon give us information, however I would have liked the MFC website to keep us abreast -- Your opinions?
-
Always respect yours and other views- Why is it pie in the sky stuff- Buses could run to it, re pick up from Stations etc.. plenty of car space, under lights, may help to raise monies for seating for say 30 thousand, then we could hold NAB cup games continuously there as well as some low attendance matches. Please tell me where in the outer areas of eastern Melbourne close to Gippsland could we hold these type of entertainment. You stated there were more grounds with far better general transport and associated facilities. I challenge you -WHERE?
-
I only wish--pick 50 would be great 14 year olds under age- But seriously don't you think we could hold entertainment acts at Casey. I think it would be ideal.

Just read,http://www.heraldsun.com.au/entertainment/music/george-michael-to-tour-australia-but-will-not-be-playing-in-melbourne/story-e6frf9hf-1225803484744 where it states that George Michael will not be playing in Melbourne due to the NAB CUP. Is this something the club in conjunction with Casey Council could provide for all of us? What do you think?
-
Sorry for lateness due to suspension, I think will be picked and not my picks however-I have been suspended to now 1-Scully 2- Trengove 11-Talia 18- Gawn 34- Griffiths 50- Thorp or Patrick 66- pass/PSD1- Joel McDonald.

Whilst we all have our thoughts on whom we want in the draft- I think we have been extremely lucky to match up our wants & needs to whom is available. In summary to all the previous posts- I think we need a rover type- Scully, Ruck rover type- (someone whom can develop into a Ling type-Trengove, or maybe Joel McDonald, a versatile tall- Talia,Black orCarlisle type.a mid/tall forward -(LATE PICK-SAY 50-Temel,Patrick or Thorp. Lastly a ruckman-Gawn This could be acheived by picking 1 or 2 -Scully,1or2-Trengove.11-Talia,Black orCarlisle type,18-Ball or best available.34-Gawn,50- Temel,Patrick or Thorp. PSD-Joel McDonald This above may leave out Ball- whom,I believe the club is more interested for his leadership than playing contribution. When McLean left- I was happy- for reasons such as his injuries- he had slowed right down.I think Ball is as slow.Pick 18- may even pick up a fast moving player such as Lewis Jetta . Also, I think we have leadership to develop within- Davey, Green,Moloney,Sylvia and Bruce of our older players.Grimes & Frawley are definately suitable types to eventually captain our team. This also does not stop the club developing born leaders like Scully & Trengove as soon as they reach our club. It is my opinion that if we do gain Ball- it may actually be a bad thing for us- it may put noses out of joint and not install a positive workplace scenario. Barry and the team basically have concluded their's and basically will rubber stamp them once Scwabby & Bails return Wednesday. They have a meeting to fully finalise. What are your thoughts? Do you agree ? if not why?
-
No issue my friend- however if one(Bradshaw ) failed a medical yesterday ,I'm sure you would agree we do not need that. Sorry- may be I was a little over the top-
-
Yes I did- one is a ruckman at 24 years of age- another a forward at 30 .I think we need a ruckman ,more than a full forward type. This is my opinion - however you are also allowed yours.Furthermore, I think their is quite alot of upside with Laycock. Bradshaw is in his twilight.
-
This is a stupiid suggestion. Why would we do this when we could have got Fevola, We have delisted Robertson, Wheatley & Whelan due to our youth policy and recruiting Bradshaw would be a slap in the face to us all.
-
A strong rumour is that Essendon would like to unload Laycock. I think he would suit our short & long term requirements, Your thoughts?
-
AGREE with all the analysis , already stated- a MAKE or BREAK year. Huge pre season is required to make sure body holds up then with confidence- PRODUCE.
-
My apologies for doubting you- http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/newsart...62/default.aspx confirms it. Actually you should be thanked for letting us all know when you did- THANK YOU
-
Thanks for pointing this out,[deleted] and I UNDERSTAND & AGREE- however there are always rumours that do not come off- they were saying Jamar was definately going to Port but that did not come off- howeverI accept Mumford will go to Sydney but I would love for the Dees to offer him a contract to stay.As they say its not over till the fat lady sings. I haven't heard her yet
-
I believe you are a volunteer - HOWEVER no need to concern yourself with Casey Job- Gotch is confirmed
-
Thanks for your advise- however are you aware that the clubs have been contacting each other at the clubs itself, due to from Tuesday to Friday morning they have not been to Docklands. Trading at Docklands is only Monday & Friday.
-
Don't worry-the way we are going ,you may end up coaching the MFC next year
-
I do not think it is any of your business, if one rings a club to get verificvation of a trade. Better to get it from the horses mouth rather than the gossip chambers.Lastly, if I want to take the liberty to contact a club.I do not think it is any of your business
-
I did not think it was definate he has gone to Sydney, whilst I understand, highly likely,I wish people would not make statements until they are verified. Show me where Shane Mumford has been traded till Sydney. I rang Geelong this morning and they stated that no trade has happened as yet.
-
What do you think about Mumford from Geelong?
-
The papers are saying MFC are interestd in Ball- Do we think he would be a decent pick up? Or have we got enough mids.?
-
Great point but it gives us a chance to see if they are worth keeping any more than next year.
-
PLEASE CONFIRM THIS INFORMATION AND QUALIFY IT- AS I UNDERSTAND THIS SITE EXPECTS STATEMENTS LIKE THIS VERIFIED. However, it does make sense - but I thought we could have done better
-
For the ones that play full forward -I would say none are all that slow. I don't get your point-if you think Serhat is slow- get real Name another player at this level whom has kicked 22 or over during a final series.Voss kicked 14 one final .Goodes kicked 5 in a grand final you name some others please.
-
Agree- we need to get tough- stuff them- we got rid of Jolly instead of Jamar for a rd 14 pick, it was only this season that Jamar has should he was worth us keeping him- now we should absolutely reject pick 9 only- he is woth more than what McLean ws gained for. Get seroius guys We will have no ruck strength at all-
