  1. As usual a great report - accurate and precise.B the way WJ-Graham Kennedy lived in Frankston for many years around 30/35 years ago.
  2. TRENGOVE not TRENGOVE Sorry - I WILL CALL HIM BY HIS NICKNAME JC FROM NOW ON. Thanks for pulling me up- I did not take offence--I'd hate somone calling me JDB instead of JCB Have a great year mate- GO DEES that is the main thing.
  3. As stated in my earlier report, I spoke to Flash regarding him and he said he was returning from recovery from an elbow injury. He ran laps early then 800,400 sprints then went swimming. Bate definately looks bigger. His body seems more mature/developed.Looked great- oozed confidence
  4. Thanks- I did not recognise him.Spencer was another that I felt had mproved his bulk, kicking , fitness and speed. WOW- I CAN'T WAIT TILL THE REAL GAMES START !
  5. Also went today and echo other posters comments. Sorry no camera The most noticable absentee was Bails.Cannot remember seeing Mahoney either. The players that did not do all training included- Bate, Blease, Bruce,Garland, Gawn, Jamar, Jurrah, McNamara,Meeson,Tapscott, Wonaeamirri,Healey. Whilst Strauss and Bartram did not complete all of the last section or session of training. I have attended training at the MFC for over 40 years now and watched them consistently and thought today the atmosphere both on the ground and supporters were amazing. Some of my thoughts are: The improved kicking - both at goals and around the ground were so much improved. There training was very much different from recent years. They were using the ball in most drills and played a type of match play. Both Newton and Miller have improved there kicking dramatically. Just hope in goes into match day. Both did extra kicking after training Watts shows something but in my opinion is a long way off. The surprise to me- was the improved strength and size of Jetta. The fitness of JB- Jamie Bennell. Truscott & Trengrove , whilst already mentioned look immediate players in the seniors. Scully will be a gun. Strauss-is the biggest surprise- his dash and kicking of half back or a wing will be awesome.Maric, has filled out and like Wonaemirri will be a very dynamic small forward.Jurrah has an elbow injury or is just recovering from it. Flash told me he will be unbelievable this year.Gysberts whilst his kicking needs improvement will be right there in selection for the first game. Two other factors worth stating was the fitness and build on Sylvia-WOW.Rivers, Warnock and Frawley looks like they will be sensational down back. The voice on the ground was amazing with great encouragement coming from all- with Jones,Flash,Beamer and Greenie being very audible. The only player I do not remember being there was Morton. However, it is hard picking up all- in caps etc.. I left feeling great and it was the best New Years present going there. all be it a huge drive from Kensington. Lastly- McLean would be lucky to get a game this year due to his slowness, Chris Johnson- never along with Buckley very doubtful. Actually it is going to be very hard for the selectors now with the list they have now. Two other points are: Trengrove is nicknamed- J C & BENNELL- JB. So with my name - jayceebee- these two will be my favourie players. Gawn will be massive when he grows up. Scully looked good and Fitzpatrick has had his hair chopped very short.Leave the rest to others & Jack's report.
  6. Especially as two sooks have gone there- Johnson & McLean- whom would not get a game at Demonland in a year or two & thank God we did not pick up Roberta Warnock- she cannot get on the park.
  7. Many thks 52k2 for update at training- very much appreciated
  8. When I created this thread- these are the actual points that I was considering regarding Judd- the other main point that basically no one has commented on is the leadership of Junior McDonald. I think he has been a great leader, both on & off the field. The smarts- in suggesting grabbing Jim Stynes jumper as a motivation point was outstanding. He carries himself in a manner that will only grow Grimes etc.. into very valuable leaders. To the ones that think this thread is crap- grow up,we all can have a say.By the way- it is the terms and conditions of our site. Agree Andy??
  9. Good to see that Judd and the leadership took some of the blame in the BoozeBoat incident
  10. A further question to ask is he(JUDD) worth 2+ million a year seeing his club is over 6 million in debt.
  11. Thanks for the explanation- Neita was a better leader than Judd
  12. We are getting off the track a little but Kristy is a labor politician in Victoria, since 2002. Do not know how this interweaves with Judd etc..
  13. I think you are being harsh- however he will never be a Sinartra or a Connick jnr.
  14. I concur-this kid is a gun- when he gains confidence & stamina watch him go- to me he was the pick of 2008.
  15. Four letters - JUDD Very good points raised Demoniac- supports my points totally.
  16. Hi Jack, hope you are over the flu. With regards to your viewpoint ,what I am querying is the merit as captain and what the purposes are. In the thread outline, it mentions factors regarding Judd and the points raised re McDonald and the merit of MFC reappointing him captain . Furthermore, in my post regarding Judd stepping down, I think his overall behaviour as leader is appalling. And as you may remember people were after Neitz's head re his fight with a taxi driver at the Crown which he was fined 5 grand, when he was captain.. His behaviou is peanuts compared to the behaviour of Carlton players which are lead by Judd. And by the way, our leadership group lead by Junior runs rings around the leadership group at Carlton NOW. It was great that you concur when you stated they have a poor culture and little way of leadership. I say they have NONE.Judd lets the players run wild, and this will show on field as well..
  17. If Carlton gets charged with bringing the game into disripute should Judd step dowm?
  18. Agreed - or go close to it
  19. Dappa, please note I was not getting into him for anything. However as his football life is ending and re his success in that singing show on 7 early in 2009,I thought he may try to set up another worklife utilizing his voice and charm.
  20. Agree with your points- thus too selfish to be a captain,as it is team sport.
  21. Hope you have a great birthday with your wish to play senior football in 2010
  22. Maybe Kernahan is not the right one to be President, however the thread is about Judd and his leadership-I say he is not the one that should be captain.
  23. Our youngest player on the MFC list Max Gawn's birthday is today- Happy birthday from Demonland
  24. Shown on Win television Xmas Eve that both were coming
  25. I also do not know much about young Stretch. Some of you S.A Demonlanders please fill us in.However, to have a Stretch & Viney would be great.
