It's a "common sense" decision, so clearly not something Dill would come up with.

Spring carnival in full flight by then. As I said, February is the only month to get married, or early March (which is when I did it).
-
I thought all guys knew that weddings should only take place in February. Pretty much the only month that doesn't have a major sporting event or have a long weekend in it, and the weather is generally pretty reliable.
-
We should win 7 or 8 of our last 9.

Only 4 away games interstate. 4 Games at Etihad to give us more chance of learning how to play there. A home game against a "power" club in Carlton. A bye after an NT game. A Friday night game. Only play Adelaide and North, from the 2016 top 8, twice, all other finalists from this year just once. I think it is a very positive draw.

Listening to the bloke that released the draw, looking at how many 6-day breaks we've got is a very simplistic way of looking at it. He suggested looking at how many games we play where we have had a greater break than our opponent. He used the example of Geelong - 8 x 6-day breaks (equal most in the comp), but they are playing 10 games where they have had a longer break than their opponent. We can't complain too much about the 6-day break thing, especially when we want our QBD Monday game, and we now have our Anzac Eve game.

Are you comparing a Craig Bolton not getting a game in the Brisbane powerhouse side of the early 2000's, with Josh Green not getting a game in the Brisbane rabble of the 2010's? Even though one was a star defender, and the other a vanilla small forward? Reeks of comparing him with an unrelated player, Stuart. Keep clutching at straws, son.
-
To be fair, Man, Rivers and Frawley were best 18 when they left. Fitzpatrick performed 1 good passage of play in his first season at Hawthorn, and we will have to wait and see how Dunn goes next year. Trash from a poor side very rarely excels at a better team.
-
Will be good to get our worst road trip out of the way in the opening round, then we have 22 consecutive weeks to start our run in to the finals.
-
Not at all Stuart, you're just making yourself look sillier and sillier, especially with your fetish for this muppet from Brisbane.
-
Stuart, the above was your response to Mauriesy's post about taking speculative kids in the rookie draft. You are clearly implying that as they will be picking up speculative kids in the National Draft, then we can look at the rookie draft for gambles on established players. You then use the example of offering rookie spots for players like Green, as opposed to a Michie type. Both of these players are existing players, not "kids", further showing your views on the rookie draft as a destination for "tried" players. As Mauriesy said, we will take kids in the draft where we have a lot more exposed form. I am in no doubt this will especially be for our first two picks. Our pick 80-odd will be used for upgrading Wagner, who was a speculative pick on our rookie list. We have a reasonable record at exposing unearthed talent through the rookie draft, yet you want to fill up those spots with Josh Green.
-
I hope you're right!!! Think we will find opposition teams/coaches playing Dangerfield a bit differently in 2017. If they let him run free, he'll win games for Geelong. If they shut him down, they go back to 2015 when it was "just" Selwood.
-
Don't think Geelong will make it, Clint?
-
Stuart, let me get this right. You believe that the draft is only for speculative kids, and that the rookie draft is not? So if we were to upgrade both of Wagner and Smith, taking 1 live pick in to this year's draft, you want to replace them on the rookie list with someone like Josh Green? Interesting.
-
No, not dismissing your opinion at all. What I find laughable is that you chastise everyone else that doesn't have the same opinion as you.
-
You dismissing "Vanilla" Michie, but advocating "Gamble" Green is laughable, and shows how little you consider other opinions. FWIW, I'm sure at the time we thought we were taking a chance/gamble with Michie. It just didn't pay off. Unlike Jetta who, similar to Michie, we delisted then rookie-listed, however it did pay off.

I take full responsibility for Max's season, so my response is, "you're welcome". Anyone want me to target any other players on the list to get them to the next level?

What has been the most important aspect of the post season?
The Chazz replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I picked Hogan's re-signing as I would most likely have walked away from the game if he left. Melodramatic? Most probably, but it would be fair to say that if he didn't, someone like Lewis may not have come to us, and the number of members would've taken a hit as I wouldn't have re-signed myself. -
Has been rested for the last 3 or 4 years... Too early?

Moloney was a cat. I'm sure there are others.
-
Let's just wait until this is officially announced by the club before we go down this path. It's a respect thing.
-
His arrogance and smugness cost them a chance to play in the Grand Final. While I'm not sure if you are taking the pi$$ or not with the above, I'll presume you aren't, and will wonder if that;s part of the reason why he's being offered up.
-
If he gets an injury-free run, this will be the best deal of the trade period.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - PATRICK MCKENNA
The Chazz replied to a topic in Melbourne Demons
Welcome to the greatest club in the world, Pat. I back Taylor/Viney's judgement on this one.
