WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JORDAN LEWIS
The Chazz replied to spirit of norm smith's topic in Melbourne Demons
Can't find better? I think what I love about the Roos and Jackson ones are the utter smugness on their face. The Goody and JM ones don't have that impact on me. Sorry! -
I know the exercise is getting harder, and I will wait until the end of the trade period to start considering mine, but I just can't see how Brayshaw isn't part of any best 22 on these threads.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
The Chazz replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
With the Lewis deal done, and us now knowing what picks we have now got, I wonder if we are offering Pick 29 and 68 for Hibberd and 41. Would give us our first pick at 41, but our 2nd pick at 57. -

I give Olisik about 10 minutes to start complaining that we've only done the one deal so far. -

Who for? I thought I read on here that Melbourne was doing SFA...
-
Best part is that Hawthorn have shown their hand with the Mitchell/Eagles trade. Our 3rd rounder would be the absolute maximum we would need to trade. Welcome to the Melbourne Football Club Mr Lewis.

Who is this Wines bloke? Any been tracking him since he started at Port?

Corey is still there. Google it!
-
Was it the Bulldogs that had Joel Corey and Matt Scarlett start their assistant coaching careers with them? I think Corey is still there actually. If Enright wants to join Melbourne, I'll happily open the doors for him. Especially given the relationship he would have with McCartney.
-
If Heeney joined Melbourne, I would donate my body to Uncle Bitters to "experiment" on, in any way, manner or fashion that pleased him.

It's amazing that ANB played as an inside mid all year, yet in his first season he played as a HFF and did quite well (for a first year player). I'll admit, I'm a big fan of ANB, and would hate to see him leave as I think he will turn in to a handy senior player. I'm also not forgetting that he has just completed his 2nd year of AFL. I'm hoping he has been "developed perfectly", and will find himself being a regular senior player in 2017.
-
If we get him for a fourth rounder and a strict condition that he is full aware he will not be playing finals, then I'm all for it. To clarify the above, I mean that Melbourne will play finals, but Motlop won't get picked as he simply goes missing.
-
And it's because of this reason that it won't kill the culture that Hawthorn has created. Compare it to the North situation this year. It really is well played by them.
-
Laws of averages suggested it would happen one day.
-
Thanks Stuart, wasn't aware of that.

Salary cap space with (Sam) Mitchell wouldn't be as much an issue as 50% of his salary contributes to the cap. Bit like Bartel and Enright at Geelong - they were costing the club bugger all, hence why they still can't afford Deledio and Tuohy.
-
Will you be starting a thread about how we should be chasing Mitchell hard? With regards to our involvement in the trade period to date, Essendon are obviously being pains in the arses as per usual. I reckon our first pick this year has been earmarked to somehow get us a better pick, hence why we don't want to give it up to Essendon. Because we haven't been able to do the Hibberd deal yet is probably holding us up on other deals.
-
And I guarantee that they won't be playing HIbberd at Centre Half Back.
-
As opposed to starting a thread on a player that just hours prior clearly stated he wanted to go to a different club? But to humour you, we have Hunt, Salem, Wagner and Melksham, all of which can play the HBF. By adding in Hibberd, who is a certain starting 18 player, this allows Wagner to continue to develop, as well as allowing the likes of Salem and Hunt to move further up the field, possibly playing on the wing with Stretch (who has shown great improvement with every game). This gives us Melksham and Hibberd to play HBF, giving us extra so-called "experience" we require back there. We also have Vince who has floated around the half back line most of this year. I'm also not convinced that Goodwin will be rushing Hunt up to a wing either. The GF saw the importance of a HBF being able break lines, which is exactly what Hunt can do. In short, what it would cost us to get Tuohy would be far better invested elsewhere.

His end to the year was underwhelming? I'm pressing you mean his finals series at Casey? If you are basing it on his senior appearances, then you're being a bit harsh given he played 3 games in total! I'm presuming he will be developed similar to the way they did with Oscar. Gave him a sniff at the end of his first season, then found himself a regular gig in his 2nd year. The development path of the two is very similar.
