It would be difficult for Troy (if selected) to get a regular game in our forward line. 1. Because he would be competing against Petterd, Wonna, Jurrah, Bate, Maric, Jetta, and possibly Liam Patrick for medium forward places. Unless the club endorses creating a smallish versatile forward line. 2. Pick 18 I reckon would be used for either Vardy, KPF or a best available, so Taylor wouldnt be selected. 3. He probably will be gone by pick 34. I rate Troy Taylor, but we've got enough players who play his position.

Carlisle at 11 and Vardy at 18? Filling needs and basically the best available at these picks. Good to know Carlisle is passionate to play for the dees. Wouldn't be too disappointed if we got Talia or Black. But Butcher will be gone to Port.

I definately agree with BattlerBailey, Thorp could realise this is his last chance and really step-up for us similar to Dawson. Pity we didn't get Sewell for Ferguson.

Why would the dees consider Aaron Black? He's only 78kg, which is lighter than Morton and Watts. Why not get a KPP with a bigger body. Although its the footy ability that matters, which i've never seen Black play.

Frawley and Warnock should take the oppositions bigs. Rivers may take medium forward or be loose man. Play similarly to Maxwell. Garland should take versatile talls and smalls, people like stevie j, brad johnson, mark lecras, etc Bennell takes the small, quick aboriginal forward pocket Bruce takes the other forward and rotates with Strauss being the attacking half-back flanker.

JT will win the rising star next season...... Scully close second. With also possibly Wattsy, Strauss and Blease all getting nominations.

Scully and JT are a lock at Pick 1 and 2. Pick 11 and 18 are used for a forward like Black, Griffiths, maybe the Butch, Carlilse, Panos or even Talia who I believe is the next Michael Hurley (without bashing cabbies). Lucas or Jetta could slip through to us at pick 11 so long as we get a KPP at 18. If no for Jetta or Lucas, a ruckman like Vardy at 18 would be an extremely good pick-up. Luke Ball if selected in PSD#1 I reckon he potentially will captain Melbourne in 2011. Good leader, former All-Australian, captain and B&F winner. Also it could be a bit to soon for JT, Grimes, Morts, Scully, etc. Others for this position could be Moloney, Jones or Davey.

Hawthorn R1 is a good matchup, considering Buddy is still suspended. That game would get a good crowd.

I agree with Bates Mate, considering Wrecker's gone, Wonna returning to the forwards and the midfield adding Scully and JT. Jetts would be a decent back pocket, with his aggression and wouldnt have many goal kicking set shots, which isnt his strength. Just hopefully he becomes stronger and kicking improves, could be like a Jarrod Harbrow.
