  1. i agree. lions had the fab four....voss, black, akermanis & lappin...three brownlows right there! ...but lions had 'The Magnificent Seven' for the 2002 premership... Voss, Akermanis,Black,Brown,Lappin,Leppitsch, Lynch, blah blah any reason why you didn't touch on Strauss? Agility (seconds) 1. Stephen Hill – 7.77 (new record) 2. Jack Watts – 8.03 3. James Strauss – 8.18 4. Nick Suban – 8.25 5. Ayce Cordy – 8.27 6. Shaun McKernan – 8.31 7. Neville Jetta – 8.32 =7. Dan Hannebery – 8.32 8. Luke Shuey – 8.34 9. Liam Jones – 8.35
  2. i couldn't agree with you more...and i think melbourne already has these players u talk of (mids)....in Blease, Sam and Strauss, James....blease was taken at 17 and strauss at 19 i think...in 2008 draft....i have done some 'google' research on these boys...check out the link from last years draft camp results... 2008 draft camp results...some good stats on blease and Strauss... http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/draf...f-1111117655927 So my theory is...Blease, Strauss and Grimes should all have a massive preseason...and i hope to see more of them in 2010....trengove is playing finals this wkend so his fitness should be still high come the time they start preseasone wit the demons...well scully is a freak (apparent 15.5 beep test).... the problem melb has is we need these guys to develop bodies that handle the rigours of AFL...i think this is going to be 3 years away for these boys...they def have pace but not the tank and bodies required to play through to last weekend in september...this could take time (talk of 6 years)....i'm just trying to show the potential melb has...i'm really excited by this!
  3. add pick #1,,,pick #2,,,,LJ,,,Davey, col i want to add grimes but he isn't consistent enough....
  4. i hope i haven't broken ranks on this site...by starting this...but ok...so when you log onto www.demonland.com it comes up with watts, mclean, col and davey... brock has to go ASAP! but who should we replace him with? i'm also a fan of removing watts until he starts to perform... personally i want scully & trengove...but we need to draft them first,,,of course. wat do people think?
  5. I agree see above...he only played 7 games this year...that doesn't qualify as a required player...i agree the boy has potential but....if a good deal comes along...i say melb grab it! jamar has been at the club long enough...i know he's played second fiddle to Jeff White...but if melb doesn't trade him...jamar needs to play 18+ resonable games...otherwise he's gone...injury or no injury
  6. spot on...would be a different story if he was a KPF
  7. he was named on the bench last wk and started in the middle from memory... Guys would you say if Trengove got best on ground in the grand final he should be drafted #1 before Scully? And Scully of course goes #2...or has scully done enough for #1...? SA people would say he'd go #1 if he was victorian. So i say we give him #1 for getting in the best or best on....
  8. fantastic!!! luv it!!! I think it's fair to say Judd has copied Scully with the head bandage! i'm sure judd watches his tapes for moves... this guy #1 fo sho'
  9. newton and macca will be gone... actually i think this thread should have started after trade week...it's a bit early to be talking about this now.
  10. swans have had a massive clean out of older players on big coin...and they have a bigger salary cap due to the higher cost of livining in syd
  11. it's good news melbourne would use Pick #1 in the PSD to get him if port refuses the trade with hawks or bombers... it would be xmas coming early to melb fans
  12. give them newton, miller and robbo
  13. i've met kennedy a few times...he's friends wit my brother...apparently told my brother on friday he's going to swans or lions...also clarkson apparently told him last year that his goal was to play 6 games this year...i believe he played 10. my impression he's def a confidence person...if he got 50 games under his belt he would grow into a pretty handy player...ie., it would improve his decision making and kicking for one... but personally i think melbourne doesn't need him.
  14. now that's fuggin' funny! Barney Gumble! wats difference between cousins and fev...he's had all his issues but is still killing it..
  15. yes..i got the same text...4 years...
  16. what about getting fev? if he came via the PSD...i would take him. i hate fevs guts...but fact is...he's a goal kicking machine... lot of pros and cons for getting him...what do people think? he'd be a great target up forward from round 1. he'd probably get us above our 92.5% min salary cap spend. probably wouldn't be around when we pushed for a flag and he comes with baggage.
  17. i just hope our project players have plenty of pace and can hit targets to begin iwt!
  18. i'm a big fan of this guy too....good to see you've used other sources to support this guys cause...i'm impressed with this thread and trengove people...fast forward to the 5min mark of this link! fantastic stuff! He was the only one with eyes on the ball!
  19. i would prefer to continue with our crop of ruckman...ie., spencer and meesen are still developing...plus I don't rate blake...and can't see what blake will give us that jamar doesn't already give us...that said..i don't like jamar either...
  20. sorry trengove started on the ground...in the middle
