GAME DAY: Melbourne vs Richmond - JLT #1
Not impressed with Preuss Tigers just a class above. We really lack speed, not only in the legs, but too slow to react.

The Bearded Jaffle
Yes a couple of years younger and shorter

The Bearded Jaffle
They charged about 8 bucks and other flavors they had were ham off the bone, baked beans, kewpie and sweet with apple and cinnamon.

The Bearded Jaffle
I had a Jaffle from Maxys van today at the Commercial hotel beer garden in Yarraville. Max wasn’t there, but it’s being run in partnership with his younger brother. i had a pastrami cheese and pickle one, and it tasted good. Basically a toasted sandwich. Took over half an hour to make though , so thought it was a very long wait, but I guess teething problems are to be expected in a brand new venture.

A Gawn , Preuss, Ruck, forward pocket combination would be awfully hard to match up on for the opposition

AFLX Revamped
What a waste of time and money. Why don’t they have a state of origin competition instead. Normal rules but shortened games of two 30 minute halves? Then you’d have something to Barrack for , and of genuine interest.

How Many Wins in 2019?
Looking at the draw , and allowing for wind velocity, diet etc..16 wins should be achievable

Training - Monday, 10th December 2018
Joel Smith looks like an absolute beast . I can see him in a role similar to an Elliot Yeo when he plays on a wing and drifts forward and back. Looks like he is building a strong fitness base to perform strong role for us next season.

We’re going to win the Flag next year - what do you do when we do?
It would be good if we could all head out to federation square and celebrate as its right in the middle of melb. Can then do a bit of a pub crawl around the city, ending up at the casino to have a flutter and check out a band in the Groove lounge. I went there after our Geelong finals win and it was full of Melbourne supporters celebrating wildly.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - COREY WAGNER
Recruiters don’t not recruit players for “depth at best” Corey is a hard worker and regularly gets to multiple contests, he will probably force his way into the side at some stage , mainly as we have a need for zippy outside players who get a lot of the ball.

Jayden Hunt
McCartney’s project players should be Garlett and Hunt this pre season
-
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Really impressed with May so far, just the way he speaks and how he handles the media.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Trac needs to have a big pre season . I think we all believe he can go to another level, and the role Hogan played working up the ground would suit Trac if he can improve his tank. I thought he was really good in our finals against Cats and Hawks , but he can be a real match winner with a bit more work.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Always a WA boy. His heart was back home and could never fully commit to us. Just another opposition player now. We will win it without him.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Goodbye Jesse. I had high hopes for you ,but you couldn’t commit to the mighty Dees. To me you are now just another opposition player playing for a team we will aim to smash on our way to the big one! Red and Blue forever.
