Collingwood look fatigued

Max king reminds me of weideman or schache , no mongrel. Waterman could work if we can get him.

Very good player but not consistent enough to be considered elite. Can go missing at times.

Heartbreaking loss but I feel all is not lost and the boys are really showing something . Compared to how I felt a couple weeks ago where I thought we were no good, I reckon there is still hope and we’ve shown a bit of ticker and something to build on.

There’s no way I’d drop Tholstrop , and I really hope Kynan gets a full game

Wish I knew what was wrong with Clarry, I think this is the crux of lot of our problems . I know he had a limited pre season , but I really thought he might have stepped up in Tracs absence. He seems to have no go in him anymore.

We are a very ordinary football side.

May and TMac forward Petty and Turner back include Kolt and Salem in the mid rotation to cover Trac Nothing to lose , tough times call for drastic measures.

Annus Horribilus

Think it’s more pace we need. A first year player in Windsor has shown everybody up with his pace so much it really stands out how much we lack. One paced players like Sparrow are not the answer , we need to go after the Bobby Hill types and get some outside speed to be able to compete with the best.

We have always relied on our star players, but when we have Oliver who is a shadow of himself , then lose Pettacca to injury who do we have? Viney is also not playing with his usual mongrel either. Lack of pressure just proves we also don’t want it bad enough or there is something wrong behind the scenes. Not a happy team at Melbourne.

Collingwood cheers for him were much louder than our boos

I thought Windsor was good today. Rivers and Salem tried pretty hard too.

I thought it was a game we should have won against a severely undermanned Collingwood. Our endeavour and contest work was good and we seemed like we came to play but our method let us down badly again , being unable to kick a decent score and letting too many out the back. There just doesn’t seem to be a fix to this and my question is how did we lose our ability seemingly overnight and do you think we will ever get back to the team we were ? Although we scored ok last year , this year we have had less inside 50s than St Kilda.

When we lost Gus we lost the soul of the club. We still have the heart in Maxy but it’s not enough unfortunately. God I hate the Collingwood chant. Sad days

Collingwood were cheering Maynard loudly all day drowning out the meekly attended Melbourne supporters boos. The guy is a hero for giving someone brain damage. What a crazy F…d up world we live in.

I thought we played ok just didn’t convert as usual. If they don’t drop Petty next week I’m not going .

The thing about Petty is that his best is very very good. He was amazing in our win over Geelong. He was a terrific defender in our premiership year. But I think he needs to be the third tall in either the forward line or backline. It can’t be just he and Turner, he has to have Van Rooyen or Brownplaying to be effective up forward ir May and Lever down back to give him freedom to fly side on and take his marks

Huge game on Monday. line in the sand for us. Unless something is really going on behind the scenes and they don’t turn up again.

Clarry or Petty I’d say but Petty isnt a star

A big part of the problem is also team selection . We are playing guys that have shown no form whatsoever in the twos. Petty, McAdam, Hunter etc.. it’s like we are living on hope

Ditch the new game plan right now. Go back to putting all our efforts into winning the contest, ball ups and centre bounce and pump it forward. Van Rooyen , Fritsch, Kozzy, etc may benefit with the ball coming in fast . I know we missed finals because of this approach but it was mainly inaccuracy. Get back to our DNA!
