Damned if you do and damned if you don't. The media is determined to bring Melbourne down , no matter what is said or inferred. They will create their own spin based on their own pre judgement. We are on a hiding to nothing and sometimes the less said the better. Kate fronted the media, probably because of the multitude of calls to end the silence, but it looks like it has backfired on her. I don’t think she will be doing it again anytime soon. Keep them guessing and don’t honour them with a response. The only one who should be making their position clear in all this is Trac himself.

The media seem to be clutching at straws in regards to why he wants to leave. Issues with the club re his injury or He wants to play in front of bigger crowds, two completely different things.

It’s like someone or a group of someone’s want this club to go down. Why? So they can get out , or they want someone out.

We will drop 10k supporters minimum if Koz and Trac leave .

We turned up in droves in 22 and 23 and filled the house in our finals especially, but it was the team that let us down despite turning up to support them and after bowing out in straight sets and dishing up this years rubbish, no wonder there was a drop off in attendance.

All this just does more damage to the Melbourne football clubs reputation. It’s just another chapter in ugliness which would only deter decent players in wanting to come to us. As one commentator said the MFC has a dreadful stink about it right now. A combination of terrible luck and poor management.

Funny coz during the practice match against Carlton in the preseason a group of Carlton kids and their Italian parents were getting Tracs autograph, and he said something like, I should be playing for Carlton with so many Italian supporters! Off the cuff remark, but absolutely gospel truth.

I’m sure the media muck rakers have some sort of agenda or beef with Melbourne as it never seems to end. For a team that’s won a premiership and then made top 4 the follow two years , has a convincing win away on the weekend without lots of injured star players , we sure do cop more than our fair share. Collingwood on the other hand win the flag last year and look like missing finals all together this year. Surely they are in more trouble and should be copping the criticism but strangely are not.
