Played 12 games with my local club Yarraville when he was returning from his injury , even though he wasn’t 100% gave everything and has a heart as big as Pharlap. My son who played in the twos trained with him and said he was a ripper bloke and very hard trainer. Think Cam Pederson. He will surprise few on here, as he has a great pair of hands, footy smarts and is very aggressive at it.

Nahhh he is Forward/Ruck and has played back up ruck on many occasions in his career.

We were caught out last year with back ups for Max ,now we have two mature age Ruck forwards just in case we need them. Good selection.

GWS at the G is not a great opener . Theyll be right into us re crowds and supporters not turning up from day one. Trac will love playing in front of 20,000 adoring fans again.

Lamby is obviously in a difficult position and is trying to answer truthfully. Its tough when the noise from Trac , Claz and The CEO has put the club in a weaker position and have basically shot themselves in the foot, because we now miss out on guys like Houston who would’ve been the Perfect Gus replacement.

What really concerns me as it does Max is the leaking of information. Whos doing it? Cant they do anything without the whole world knowing about it immediately? Why would people within the club want to hurt the club?

Football history is littered with star players touring opposition facilities or meeting with other clubs to sound out a possible move but then deciding to stay at their original club, and clubs often shop around players. It’s a business , but somehow everything we do is blown out of proportion by the hungry for blood media with all sorts of rumours leaving us with a lot of innuendo but no real truth.

Petracca scared off Houston , and Clarrys problems are of his own making

Everyone seems to be blaming Pert, and I’m not really a fan , but isn’t the cause of all this Clarry himself? He was warned and asked to change his ways a year ago , but apparently has transgressed again. Best on baller I’ve ever seen at Melbourne , and the whole thing is devastating, but what are we supposed to do??

These never ending dramas with our club are really bringing me down. Love for the game is truly being tested big time. I fear our membership numbers will take severe nose dive next season .

I had a good chat with one of our assistant coaches a couple of months ago and he told me that Clayton had made his mind up to leave last year and wanted out for various reasons but mainly his injury management and also wasn’t in a good headspace which then turned into what happened this pre season. The club had to work really really hard to convince him to stay. Now this . The Cats have been trying to get him for two years now.

It’s up to Petracca, he’s the boss.
