I just don’t think we cope well under intense pressure. When the opposition decide they are going to tackle and smother us with high intensity we have no answer until they run out of gas from their efforts. Brisbane did it to us and now Carlton.

We still have massive problems at centre bounce , we look all at sea far too often
-
We just don’t have an in form midfielder unfortunately
-
Absolute gun, very well deserved.

So good to see Petty hit some form . Some of those marks were huge. Got great elevation and really clunked them.

Pretty special first year player on our hands here. Loves the contest too.

Lobby would have to be one of the most useless big men Ive seen for all the size and physical attributes he has.

Don’t mind Pavlich, jack Riewoldt and Dicko as commentators.only Brereton spoils tonight’s commentary team

Macadam plays tall and is a good aerialist So we will have two talls in Turner and Roo And two medium tall good marks in Fritsch and Mcadam Kozzie, Chandler and ANB at their feet

Out Petty, Woewoedin In McAdam Hunter

I thought we found two forwards tonight. Turner goes with out saying , but Bills two main attributes are tackling and foot skills which make him a perfect small forward

Wow Turner , take a bow son. I reckon even Jefferson would be a better bet than Petty. For gods sake play the lad in the twos to get some confidence!

You can forget about top 4 if we lose this one.

Yze knows it’s pressure that beats Melbourne What happened to our skills ? Imagine if we played a good side tonight like Geelong ? Would it be a 100 point drubbing. Maybe last week wasn’t an abomination?

When he was a backman everyone was screaming for him to go up forward as we we were severely lacking in that area of the ground. He usually clunks his marks really well and is coming off an injury. Based on what I’ve seen over the years from Petts I still believe he will thrive up forward, we just need a little patience.

Although they get all the credit for the win and well deserved because their pressure and intensity was through the roof. We lost by 22 in the end , losing a key distributor early in Salem and being without Kozzie who would usually save a couple of goals with his pressure acts and kick a couple himself which is 24 points, and being in form too , I reckon he is that important to us. Trac couldn’t really cope with the hard tag, and with Clarry well down with his injury we were ripe for the picking by a very committed side desperately wanting to win for Lachie Neale and getting their season back on track. I really hope we can come up with a plan and return the favour next time we meet them up there as they’ve had our measure the last two seasons.

That game was a total nightmare. They were playing at a super high intensity with manic pressure, we looked tired and lacked any sort of fierceness and we just couldn’t handle it. The umpires were so disgustingly bad it was like some sort of bad dream. Lions seem to be very good at getting inside our heads, winning the psychological battle yet again, they love to play dirty and rough us up, and I was disappointed we couldn’t fight back. I can’t stand them and despise losing to them.

Ole concrete hands Van Rooyen

Feel sorry for Koltyn debuting in a game like this

That was a pretty exciting round of footy really

First time I’ve ever barracked for Ginnivan to stick it right up em

He is a crucial part of the team that has kept us up there in the top 4 , 3 and a half seasons in a row

I really don’t rate Carlton. Hold McKay and Curnow and they don’t have much. Cripps gets a bit of it but his disposal is ordinary
