  1. It was good to sit back and watch a game and not be too stressed. When we bring the pressure and intensity from the first bounce we can really set up the way we want to play. Forward line starting to gel, there were signs last week in the wet and missing a few, but we are getting some good looks.
  2. I’d just love to get Jones into this side
  3. 6. Oliver 5. Petracca 4. Jackson 3.Lever 2. Brown 1. May
  4. Sparrow and Harmes are kidding themselves today
  5. Bowser looks great and Dogga with 4 goals is turning it on.
  6. Sparrow cost us two goals so far, if he doesn’t dramatically improve he will be out for the year. Hopefully Jonesy can regain that spot.
  7. I think WA will shoot themselves for n the foot with compulsory quarantine making too hard for AFL games to be played there in the remaining rounds, considering what’s just happened today. So a Melbourne / Adelaide hub seems like the best option .
  8. They should just tell all teams to come to Melbourne for the remainder of the year.
  9. There could be a min hub in Perth and suns would have to fly there today, possibly Brisbane and bombers too.
  10. Spewing
  11. Exactly, but lockdown doesn’t start till 4pm so they can get to the game then go home or some sort of quarantine team hub.
  12. Will the Queensland govt allow a game to go ahead? Will the WA government allow us into Perth if we’ve been to Queensland ??
  13. Yes I understand the big picture, and it’s a helluva donation with no discount or compensation from the club for the sacrifice. Times are pretty tough with being laid off from work for a fair chunk of the last two years. I’m more upset about the possibility of being robbed of the journey and going to the finals games .
  14. Our best chance in 21 years in having a genuine tilt at the flag and we may not get to go to another game in Melbourne. Pretty peed off , After paying for club memberships, reserved seats and finals tix priority, for the whole family two years in a row during tough times which is turning out to be money down the drain
  15. Bowey would be a better match up for Rankine than Hibbo
  16. So who’s out for Bowser? Rivers or Jordon?
  17. No crowds for the next two weeks then hopefully at least 50% for our Crows game at home, and then fingers crossed for around 75% for finals with a full house on grand final day as long as we can keep any new covid cases from spreading again.
  18. Gee that’s pretty glaring. I always thought we win a lot of contested ball but waste it. I wonder what those disposal efficiency stats of the top 4 player with the top 4 sides over the whole year are?
  19. We’ve been poor when the ball hits the ground in defensive 50. Happened last week against Hawthorn, and again last night with the Dogs kicking 6 goals from stoppages in their forward line. We don’t have that smaller back pocket player like a Jetta or a Bowey who can kill the ground ball or clear it, as all our defensive players are either talls or medium sized runners.
  20. We can still win it but we must fix our structure around stoppages. Bulldogs are very good in this area, and backed one or two on the inside to get it to the players waiting outside. We were like flies to the proverbial you know what, and had far too many on the inside. Also letting match winners like Bontempelli go unmanned with no body pressure whatsoever in stoppages is asking for trouble. What happened to our forward pressure from ANB , Pickett and Spargo to allow Bailey Dale and Caleb Daniel so much space all night?
  21. If your a tall you gotta take some marks and if you’re a small forward you must kick some goals. Jacko, ANB and Spargo were very poor in that regard. Unfortunately we got the Hollywood version of Harmes tonight , when the bread and butter version is much more honest. Why does Max continue to tap the ball where our players ain’t?
  22. Jackson definitely needs a rest. Jordan too. Langdon and Spargo were out of touch tonight too. Playing catch up footy all night, on a wet night and pathetic umpiring . But I still feel we will beat them in finals
  23. Good mini comeback, but when the chips are down Bont is king out of the centre
  24. Jacko can’t out mark a guy half his size
  25. Umpires have been the difference
