If Jones is named sub and we win , then I’d say bar injury there would be no change for the Grand Final, and the fairytale may yet come true for him.

Your first MFC Game/Best MFC Game/Worst MFC Game
DeeZee replied to Ingerson27's topic in Melbourne Demons
1987 last game of the year against the dogs at the western oval was by far the best as it put us into the finals for the first time in 25 years and the excitement, and tears of joy when we found out we got in , waiting on other results which came through just before the final siren. It was very emotional times. Worst was the 87 Prelim when we lost to Hawthorn after Buckenaras after the siren kick was absolutely devastating. I got home and mum said “ did you win?”, and I just burst into tears. -
A giant picture of Shrek with horns and a demons jumper putting lord Farquaad to the sword, with Farquaads face looking eerily similar to Chris Scott. With the caption ”Fairytales do come true!”

Your favourite music to get you through to the Grand Final
DeeZee replied to Engorged Onion's topic in Melbourne Demons
When the levee breaks…….,,Led Zep Gets me in the mood for something big. hoping our premiership drought will break too! Then maybe a bit of QOTSA , song for the deaf. -
I think the only danger of us losing on Friday is Geelong winning the centre clearances by a lot and give their forwards quick looks. Looking forward to another mongrel animal game from Viney to prevent this from happening.

I don’t think the umpires are biased or corrupt but I do think they are whistle happy and pay far too many tiggy touchwood free kicks instead of just paying the obvious ones. I reckon they do guess at times with out being 100% certain of what may have occurred and have way too much of an influence on games. Part of the problem is there is too much great area in the rules and it’s a very hard game to officiate

Exciting game to watch but such a shame the umpiring was so poor.

Anyone else thinks Chris Scott looks like Lord Farquaad from Shrek? Behaves like him too.

Saw sound garden live at the palace in st Kilda . Loudest concert I’ve been to. Brilliant though

Pretty ordinary game

Games really missing something without the big cheer squads behind the goals

How young were you when Barass last raised the cup?
DeeZee replied to TasJohnsonFanClub's topic in Melbourne Demons
18 months old -
I’m going to enjoy this one, if we get there and I’ll be hoping that we can pinch another one sometime over the next 3 or four years, which I can experience in person. I do feel that this group has a couple in them.

What will you do if we win the flag this year?
DeeZee replied to Star of the 80s's topic in Melbourne Demons
Wish there was a place supporters can get together and see the cup and team be presented and party on in the city. Buy that’s not looking likely for a while. Im sure it will happen once restrictions lift. So until then I’ll just have a few quiet ones at home -
Impressive young man. Love his sense of humour too

Tattoo and premiership cup replica. Car number plates, tee shirts, stickers, posters, dvds, cap and mug

My biggest dream was to watch my beloved Dees win a flag . The experience is what it’s all about. Ill take the silverware if we win it, but deep down feeling gutted.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
DeeZee replied to Lord Nev's topic in Melbourne Demons
He will be scary good in a couple of years, and I mean Adam Goodes, Nic Nat, Buddy Franklin Good. Keep pinching myself about what we got in that draft. Dogga , Riv and Koz. Big part of what’s happening now in rejuvenating the team. -
Bombers were putrid, Dogs not that impressive.
-
Take a bow Simon Goodwin Never faltered in his belief for this team, to play tough finals type footy and a team that was hard to play against. The game plan is spot on

Is this the best Demons side of the last 57 years?
DeeZee replied to Cheap Seats's topic in Melbourne Demons
Easily I know it’s sad that we can’t be there to watch them, but hopefully this is the start of a successful era. -
Pickett - goal of the night

6. Oliver 5. Gawn 4. Petracca 3. Fritsch 2. Langdon 1. Brayshaw
-
Felt a little sad for Elder statesmen, Jones, Melky and Hibbo . But that’s the story of having a fantastic team, always some hard luck stories. Clayton Oliver and Christian Petracca are the greatest midfielders of the modern era for the MFC Gawn the best captain since Barrassi
