POSTGAME: Rd 23 vs Brisbane
There’s is no doubting that Goody hasn’t showed his hand all year as it’s all about being at our best come finals time. Id say he still has a few tricks up his sleeve, to throw off and bamboozle the opposition in what’s to come. We look fit and fresh too, so the loadings mid year look like they are bearing fruit right now when it really counts.

Who is the better player out of Chandler and Bedford? I can’t split them

POSTMATCH: Rd 22 vs Carlton
We’ve dealt with two games in a row of extreme tackling pressure , which will hold us in good stead for the following weeks. Its been almost freaky how Collingwood and Carlton managed to sustain that intense pressure for 4 quarters. Good prep for next week and beyond

Demons will win the flag in 2022.
I still believe we are the best team in it. For me the only factors that play against us are Geelongs absolute desire to win a flag, with the timing , new recruits and form line in their favour and this ridiculous wave that Collingwood are on. Next two weeks will tell a lot though and we must win both and stay in the top 4 to give us the best chance. Van Rooyen could be an X factor up forward worth considering.

Can’t believe how bad I’m feeling still. Been sitting in my guts all day.

POSTGAME: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
The amount of times they scored setting up through Sidebottom who seemed without a man all night on his wing was ridiculous

POSTGAME: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
They turned up the pressure in the second half and totally smothered us. Hate to say it it but they wanted it a little more. Silly boy Langdon giving them extra motivation

POSTGAME : Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
Matty Lloyd just highlights two or three things that went wrong. For most of the game we did things pretty right. He could have easily had picked some mistakes the Bulldogs made earlier as well. Its all perspective. He lost me when he said Brayshaw was just just outside waiting for the easy ball (as he does) As he does???? Brayshaw is probably one the most courageous players in the whole comp!

Our biggest issue is...
Our biggest issue is that our second tier players haven’t really improved this year, and we haven’t added anything new. Geelong have added DeKoening, and Stengel and Atkins has improved out of sight. Sparrow, Rivers, Spargo, ANB, Bowey, Jackson, Harmes etc never dominate games. It’s always the same players, Oliver, Petracca , Gawn , May etc etc Even Salem and Langdon aren’t as good. Brayshaw is probably the only one I give credit to, and that’s out of necessity of him going down back, but he is a true warrior anyway so it’s no surprise.

CHANGES: Rd 20 vs Fremantle
I think we need to find a way to get Bowey into that side . We were badly beaten when the ball hit the ground in the Dogs forward line and we just don’t seem to have that small mop up sweeper

POSTGAME : Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
I thought we were pretty good for most the night, bar a patch in the third and the last. Also thought our forward line functioned well, with 4 to Fritsch 3 to weed and 2 to Melksham. English did kill us in the air , and Ugle Hagen was an unlikely match winner for them. Salem has been pretty poor in every game since his return and needs to be dropped for a Bowey or Hunt, as they owned it at ground level in their 50. That loss hurt and a pivotal moment was when Fritsch ironically chose to be unselfish instead of snapping what could have been the winner.

CASEY: Rd 18 vs Footscray
Chandler and Bowey were very good today. McVee looks a classy prospect

Farewell Sam Weideman
Opportunity number 23,467 let’s hope he takes it this time.

Farewell Luke Jackson
If we do lose Jackson, would we prefer a Lobb or a Grundy?
