  1. Hunter been much more effective today than Billings has been this year
  2. Far better quarter, the margin now reflective of the difference between the two teams. Hopefully we run it out and win by 50+.
  3. Dudded by the AFL again.
  4. A win is the only acceptable outcome today. 3 on the trot would be disastrous, especially considering our opposition.
  5. Norm (10 flags as player/coach) RDB Robbie Mueller (reading the book 125 year history of MFC Mueller was ranked by Hobbs/Palmer as 7th in a list of best 50 VFL players in last year's 1933-1983 - big game player who arguable won the 48 flag off his own boot) La Fontaine Chadwick Warne-Smith Neitz Max *Checker for his impact on the club though not as a player
  6. We should change to Narrm permanently. It has more relevance than the name of some 19th century British lord.
  7. You tend to get leeway if you've got a history of playing at least some good games. Billings has been pretty underwhelming since round 1.
  8. May started on Waterman and was switched after Waterman was giving him a bath.
  9. Would rather give Kolt a block of games, even Hunter has a bit more go but sounds like he's struggling for form at Casey. Laurie, no thanks. Sestan? Who else could come in?
  10. I'll believe it when I see it. We've had 4 poor games now and not much to bring into the side.
  11. He's been extremely vanilla, no impact whatsoever. Took too long after taking a mark on 50 yesterday when his opponent went to ground, could've played on quickly and passed to Fritsch(?) in the pocket. Instead went back then kicked a nothing kick to the top of the square which was easily defended.
  12. Yes and that all comes down to mentality. Players turned up expecting a fresh kill, arrogant and mentally soft. Been that way for decades. They talk about "respecting the opposition" and all that crapola but they still don't walk the walk, they still don't respect the game or respect the opposition. They think they can get away with bruise free footy when they can't be arsed, they need to be ruthless and put these bottom of the ladder teams to the sword before they get a sniff otherwise their momentum and belief grows, especially interstate. How many times must it happen before the leaders, coaches, senior players etc do something about it??
  13. Mentally weak. A hallmark of Melbourne teams for 60 years.
  14. Pathetic performance
  15. We have the talent, we lose it above the shoulders.
  16. Max is a great player but a poor tap ruckman, it's always been his weakness
  17. We have a team of arrogant, lazy players
  18. Still better than channel 7 tho
  19. Not starting next season, fox have their own commentators for every game I cluding channel 7 games.
  20. I can see a time in the near future where we can't get any access to this when it's Collingwood's home game. The AFL wants all memberships to be reserved seat memberships (like Essendon at Docklands) which would mean no access for opposition supporters.
  21. I get the club loves the exposure of night games on TV and for years we cried out about being shunted to the Sunday twilight slot but so many night games in a season is really difficult for the elderly or young kids, especially Saturday night games when they have junior footy the next morning. With parking at the G much more limited these days too or the gates closed for ages after the game before you can even leave it's harder getting to and from the ground as well.
  22. Nah, not this year. We play them in NT 😂
  23. Wonder why 🤔
