Maynard must get at least four weeks
If it gets to that I don't think we should bother masking it.

Maynard must get at least four weeks
Since when has intent had anything to do with consequences? It wasn't my intention to knock you out so bad luck? That is why there are terms such as "reckless", "careless" and "duty of care" that are considered well before "intent". Players get suspended for tackles gone wrong even though it wasn't their intent to knock someone out or for their head to hit the ground. Give me a spell.

Any word on Angus?
Does Peter Jess know? Or is he sensationalising to gain PR for his class action? Not saying the class action is wrong but commenting on Brayshaw's situation seems to be politicising his situation.

NFL
I don't know about the other conference but I have a soft spot for the Jags and Bengals, would like to see them do well. Actually NFC wise Panthers are my team, played for a "Panthers" team in junior footy and like the colours, hopefully they've hit gold with their young QB. I also don't mind the Saints, New Orleans is one of the few US cities I actually would like to visit.

No, Maynard was reckless in jumping in the air and lunging towards Brayshaw. Brayshaw was not contesting the ball, he had the ball and was disposing of it. He was open without an ability to protect himself and Maynard had a duty of care. Maynard was clearly determined to "make him earn it" and propelled himself into Brayshaw in a bumping action with elbow tucked and hitting Brayshaw with his shoulder. Whether it happened after he was attempting to smother is irrelevant. Once he had missed the smother he could have done a number of things to stop him cannoning into Brayshaw but instead of trying to minimise the force he barrelled into him, causing a concussion. Part of the duty of care is also making sure he does not act recklessly when attempting to smother, tackle, mark etc. He must get at least 3 weeks or the AFL will again be seen to be a hypocritical joke.

That's an extremely simplistic view of things. People who were confident we would beat the Pies were proven to have every right to be confident considering the key stats not least of which being inside 50s and expected score. You're acting as though we could never have won on Thursday without a genuine kpf when clearly we could have.

He's not wrong though. We are starting down the barrel of back to back straight sets exits after never leaving the G! We won in 2021 with the rent-a-crowds riding us home, back at the G we've struggled to assert a home crowd/19th man even when playing interstate teams. This must have a psychological impact in the players.

Our small forwards have been disappointing since start of 2022. 2021 the pressure and crumb from our small forwards was a huge part of the reason we went all the way. Long bombs into the forward line should be relying on our small forwards winning the ground ball after the contest but that hasn't happened. Collingwood swept up the footy time and again with minimal pressure and worked it out of defense.

Yeah I would never feel it was unsafe to bring my kids though. My 10yo is a bit more sensitive and doesn't really like going to games anyway due to the crowds but my 8yo is fine. They are a real pack of animals though I agree, I just laugh at them though. It's an experience that's for sure 😂
