  1. No such mfcss here haha I'm cured ?
  2. People were saying this about Brisbane 2 or 3 years ago, they've got themselves into a decent position now. The Gold Coast will be fine long term and the comp will be better for it
  3. The introductory of free agency was completely bungled. What they should have done; - Increase rookie contracts to a 2+1+1 with yearly club options on players from year 2 to year 4 - Reduce the salary cap floor - Players become restricted free agents after their 4 year rookie contract - Players become unrestricted free agents after 6 years in the system (not necessarily with the one club) - Clubs own players contracts and have the ability to trade contracted players without their consent - Harder policing of the salary cap and 3rd party payments - I've seen it suggested Tom Lynch's sister has been recruited by the Tigers AFLW side and been nicely remunerated for it - Consideration could have been given to "franchise tags" Too much was given to the AFLPA and now the AFL will be pushing [censored] uphill to try and give any power back to the clubs. Possibly with a large salary cap increase at the next negotiations the players might be willing to give something back.
  4. Our first pick is going to the Crows so the further back it is the funnier it gets.
  5. Free agency was introduced to allow players with tenure to be able to move to their club of choice without impediment. It had nothing to do with equalisation.
  6. Our game will definitely be the following Friday should we win. Collingwood has to play in Perth Saturday night, if they lose they're not going to back up the following Friday when they could be scheduled on the Saturday.
  7. 10 in 25 would be better
  8. NFL

Steelers Rams Titans Hope it's a good building year for J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!! Darnold has looked promising so far. Was hoping we would get Mack he is exactly what we need but oh well, Bears lucked out with that one.

Bok, Davis, Gunston, Vince, Tippett, Dangerfield, Lever, Cameron, McGovern, Betts(?) I'm sure I'm missing some?
  10. Will be around 80k give or take. MCC will be chockers.
  11. Full members also get half price GF tickets (~$200 instead of ~$400). Prelim tickets are around $200 these days so basically if you go to 1 final per week your membership pays itself off. I know people also scalp their GF tickets to pay for their annual subs but I haven't been game to do that - hardly anyone gets caught using other people's AFL memberships but knowing my luck I'd be the unlucky one who loses out the year before the Demons make the big one.
  12. AFL full members get in "free" to first 3 weeks of finals just have to pay a $21 booking fee if you want to reserve a seat. Technically you could just walk up and scan in on the night for nothing as long as it's not sold out. You'll end up in the nosebleeds or standing room though I scored 8 tickets in M18 today absolutely stoked. Was a bit stressed initially had the looping wait page til 915
  13. So it sounds like everyone who wanted tickets got them even if not where they might want them. I'm glad noones missing out all of us die hards should be there to exorcise the demons of the last decade.
  14. Just bring a flask in od that'll keep you toasty
  15. No way will it only be 55k. Minimum 70k probably around 80k more likely.
  16. Glad to hear it od this is usually the case in my experience, they stuff up every year but once they fix it it runs pretty smoothly Fingers crossed I get a good run and some decent seats during the AFL members sale tomorrow morning, I need 8 tickets so hoping we get around M18/19 where we always sit
  17. Fair enough od I couldn't imagine not going and I've faced this incompetence from ticketek before trying to buy tickets to finals and even H&A games as an AFL member. Just saying once the tickets go back on sale today there shouldn't be any issues and you should know within 10-15 minutes (or sooner) if you're going to get tickets or not. Good luck.
  18. As far as I'm aware AFL keeps the gate for all finals.
  19. Jump on again tomorrow OD I think you'll find you'll have better luck.
  20. It's happened every year for the last 4 years, it happens at the start of the season too when they have a brief window of presale tickets for AFL members to purchase seats for any game of the year. There's only about 60k AFL members and it can't even handle that. Last year for the Geel/Rich QF AFL members were buying seats on level 4 as that's all they though they could get. Half an hour later they reboot the system and plenty of tickets are available on level 1. For all those who missed out today, jump on again tomorrow as I think you'll find things run a lot smoother. The anxiety caused by these recurring fuckups and the utter lack of care for those affected (evidenced by their continual failure to do anything to fix it) is disgusting. But I think most on here will find by this time tomorrow they'll have their tickets secured.
  21. And when are AFL Members ticket sales gonna go on sale now? Originally meant to be 9am tomorrow
  22. AFL/Telstra/Ticketek A match made in helllllll (/Vince McMahon voice)
  23. He is when they've had the same issues for 4 and a half years and nothing gets resolved
