  1. Live a little, dieter
  2. It's pretty funny when the worst they can come up with is effectively saying "you have large amounts of disposable income"
  3. Well done Jesse, hope he can get his career (and life) back on track. Wil always have a soft spot for the big fella.
  4. Hopefully our club isn't so starved of success they feel the need to release one of these
  5. Yep my kids are hoping like hell we get up tomorrow so they can go to school on Monday and proudly let everyone know the Demons are top of the ladder
  6. We got Farmer in the first place from Freo for Phil Gilbert. Pick 1 (Hodge) for McPharlin & Croad then Croad went back to Hawks Traded in Tarrant who went back to Pies Check out the trades that happened when they were first admitted, Essendon did well out of it scoring Lloyd and Lucas for a packet of chips
  7. Plus with the amount of players North have out nevermind how bad they are anyway - I mean I've seen stranger things happen but if we drop this I'd be stunned.
  8. @binman is still just a weekly regular caller isn't he?
  9. Back to back? I want the 4peat Collingwood robbed us of in the 50s!
  10. I doubt it would matter to a player like Trac. He's in it for the success as much or even moreso than the money. He wants to be a Hall of Famer, thats what drives him.
  11. It's just unfortunate that he had the preseason injury or he'd be firmly in our best 22. He just has to keep performing in the VFL and his time will come and when it does I'm confident he'll grab the opportunity. Still early days, a long season ahead of us.
  12. Exactly but then that "big team contender" would actually need to have the salary cap space.
  13. Agreed although he has to weigh up what he wants out of footy - stick with this group who has real belief and are all signing on to achieve something? Or take the cash and get $1.5m a year to play at North?
  14. Exactly there's a reason we got rid of him. I still remember Roos having a crack at both Howe and Watts during the break of a night game vs Sydney. You could tell he was exasperated trying to get these guys to adhere to the structure and team rules.
  15. Or alternatively, give us the option to select different audio feeds so we can listen to one of the radio station commentaries while watching. They don't dull the crowd mics either so you can actually hear the roars of the crowd like you do when you're at the game. Channel 7 dulls the crowd mics so we don't miss any of BT's zingers or Hamish McLachlans quips.
  16. That's exactly what I thought as well?
  17. Was that Carlton game the "bruise free footy" game?
  18. Ayers Rock (Uluru) is still there - you just can't climb it
  19. This is actually a great result and hopefully sees the AFL move to flexible fixture in the future. There's no way they would have had us vs Bris in NT or vs Dogs on a Friday night when creating the fixture last year
  20. When I first heard the podcast when it began I thought it was pretty low quality (production wise) and too dry for my liking. It is now my favourite Melbourne Demons podcast (and there are a few out there!) Well done guys, the discussion is always intelligent and engaging, I love listening to it while I'm working or driving somewhere. @Binman, the lack of stats and analysis in the mainstream media has been a huge bugbear of mine for a long time as well. Champion Data don't even release the "Prospectus" anymore which I used to buy each year for an overview. Sure not everyone is going to enjoy it but with the amount of media coverage you'd think there would be some market for that type of coverage. What there is is extremely limited and those that do do some more in depth coverage like Mark McGowan on the AFL website get the flick!
  21. "Yeah Robbo, Dusty's amazing. In between racking up 40 touches and kicking the sealer I made sure to keep an eye out for him so I could witness the beauty of his 6 possessions first hand."
  22. My thinking is they'll bring in Weid and Sparrow but I could easily see it being Brown and Harmes (assuming he's recovered from his wrist fracture). My only concern with Brown coming in is the potential to upset our forward half pressure as he is notorious for going missing once the ball hits the ground. Weid on the other hand doesn't mind laying the odd crunching tackle.
