COVID & AFL 2021
That would depend on whether they could reshuffle the other games scheduled - so who is Adelaide scheduled to play next week? Who are Suns meant to play in round 21?

Lacked a key forward.

Suns were faves? Surely not

On this day in 1989 ...
I remember this game well - we got over the Cats by 3 points in a high scoring game at Waverley (112 vs 109) only 4 or 5 weeks after we got belted by them at the G when we kicked 2.8.20 for the entire game (the lowest score I've witnessed us kick) - we also kicked 2.8.20 in the opening round of 1991 when we travelled to Perth and got belted by the Eagles (Allen Jakovich's inauspicious debut).

I have a good feeling about this match

Dermott Brereton on Bayley Fritsch
haha give me a spell, the biggest thug to play the game in the last 40 years having a crack because Fritsch gave Grainger-Barass a slight bump in a marking contest? Perhaps next time he should step on someone's head instead or send their teeth into the 5th row like Brereton did to Tony Free?

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs Hawthorn
Win when it counts. If we beat Dogs lose to Suns and Crows then beat Cats I'll be extremely confident heading into September

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs Hawthorn
It's all going to depend how we perform this week. Roll the Dogs and we will be flying again. If they get their ball movement going and cruise to an easy win its panic stations. A close fought game that we lose? Frustrating but not the end of the world.

Dees vs Bulldogs This Week
No chance we have crowds this week, we'll probably still be in lockdown

Dees vs Bulldogs This Week
I don't get why we have to move games around? Just play them where they can be played, we will end up being screwed having to travel to Darwin then Perth in consecutive weeks ?

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs Hawthorn
Goodwin said the Hawks outworked us and were hungrier. That is damning because it is all down to mindset, we have shown we CAN do it especially against the best so why did the team think they could just turn up for an easy game? Hopefully they got ripped a new one behind closed doors because that is pathetic and it has been a recurring theme. The supporters and coaches deserve better. We want to be a ruthless club? We wouldn't know the meaning of the word.

Who the hell is our goal kicking coach!?
The commentator today (Der-wayne I think) said it's the worst its been in 150 years so was clearly being sarcastic. I think it's the worst its been in 15-20 years though.

So much for the MCG being a fortress. Lost to GWS, drew with Hawks, barely got over the Bombers. Can people stop quoting Dr D I have him on ignore so I don't see his rubbish. Agree with those who were disgusted with Oliver's reaction when Spargo marked it. How is that team first mentality? When was the last time you kicked a set shot goal mate? Kozzie needs coaching on his set shots his run up is no good The Cats in their glory days of 2007-2011 focused on crushing teams early so they could cruise at the end. We just want to cruise from the get go.

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs Hawthorn
You have possession with 2 minutes left and a goal up and bomb it long to a pack? Are we the only side who doesn't know how to maintain possession to run time off the clock? Scores are level with 40 seconds left and Max doesn't just bang it forward out of the middle? The aim was to rush it forward to try and get a point but no. Terrible performance after going 4 goals up early in the second, this team needs to learn to put the boot to the throat of opposition teams to snuff out the contest before they get their tails up and think they're in with a chance. Whoever said it earlier in the thread was dead right, we have it back to front when you come up against poor sides you aim to outwork them but we just try to out finesse them. Bloody frustrating. Viney dropped, that was as bad a game as I've seen and I'm a huge supporter of his Suns will roll us next week nothing surer, they are in good form.
